I know that candyman was set/filmed in Cabrini Green. I learned something new tho and now you and others know as well. The actual mirror part was from a murder case in ABLA.

That woman was murdered by someone going through her bathroom mirror. Those ABLA buildings were built with that space for plumbers/techs. Crackheads and robbers moved through them.

That part of the story was from that particular case.

The director talked to the article writer about it before the film was made.

It’s the same shyt as Cabrini Green or any real impoverished housing project or slum

The white folks abandoned the places then they went to shyt. Became a hot bed for drug trafficking, gang violence, prostitution, overall poverty. Those kinda projects were built to be massive housing units, like mini cities
