ABLA homes in Chicago (Since torn down) spawned part of the story in the film Candyman. R.i.p Ruth Mae McCoy.

Then also Cabrini Green Chicago

Queensbridge - Queens New York

New Orleans has some.

Does anyone have any personal stories from around 1980-2000 on experiences in the projects?

If you can say.

East Lake Meadows in ATL, It was known as Little Vietnam.

Techwood in downtown ATL. Had the biggest trap in the city and was very violent.

Ironically, East Lake Meadows is a sleepy golf community now and Techwood is housing for Georgia Tech.
