Roman has been essentially invincible for 3.5 years, that's longer than Goldberg entire WCW run and just about as long as Stone Cold whole face run. Wrestling fans have always rejected guys that they percieve to be handpicked. Roman's acension was telegraphed and poorly booked. The fans didn't get a chance to choose him. NXT is a super Indy that chose the best of the bunch as champ.
It's like...by the time they fully committed and pulled the trigger..people were already tired of him....
And now they think they are gonna get away with just blatantly going through with their original plan, like the past year or so hasn't happened, and many are just
at the whole thing.
They have too much audacity...need more self awareness.
Roman Reigns probably has the attributes to be *a* top guy (As of now, I've never seen the mic skills needed to be *the* top guy), but if they just keep bulldozing like this, there will always be a section of the audience that dislikes him. Maybe the WWE doesn't care about them and if that's the case then
But I think that, if they care about making a quality weekly show at all..it would be a shame if Roman just continues to be a Cena type character as far as acceptance goes. They should be striving to make someone that everyone legit wants to get behind.
Finn is alright. The Demon stuff isn't really in the ballpark of things I would really enjoy though. I'm kinda surprised that so many love it. But he definitely connects with the audience (Or at least, the NXT audience). I don't think he'll work as well on raw.
