Actually a woman can win, Trump's two wins came because people stayed home. Not to mention no one liked Hillary and Kamala.

Minus the racist folks, people love AOC even the folks who fcck with Trump
No they don’t. Y’all said the same shyt with Kamala and look what happen. :dead:

I know the narrative is that we need to run more central, and she kinda is doing that to some extent but she still by far one of the more progressive politicians we have which I think will excite the base. Centrist will deter younger voters and most older voters are hardwired to their political party so it wouldn’t change dramatically imo. These older voters are dwindling by each election cycle so it’s only a matter of time before the country pushes back to the left. Right now it’s leaning right
I believe Trump blew that narrative out of the water. If Covid didn't happen I bet he would've won against Biden in 2020.

Well, AOC is only 35 years old and likely has a long future in Congress. I would bet at some point she runs for President.
I don't think 2028 is a realistic time frame.

It was a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people, but the Democratic Party really cut one of their legs out by embracing an establishment candidate like Hilary Clinton in 2016 and again with Biden in 2020 when a significant part of the country was open to a more "populist" candidate like Bernie Sanders.

My guess is that 2028 is the Gavin Newsom candidacy, although Pete Buttigieg could make yet another push. Amy Klobuchar seems nice but I don't think anyone cares about her one way or the other on a national level.

AOC would likely get way too much pushback from the establishment and mainstream Democrats. Plus there might be this fear that running a 3rd woman at this time is politically risky.
I don't know if a moderate can win. Also if Trump really fukks up the economy we will need a FDR type to get us back on track and I don't see any moderate being able to do that

Not a chance. Too young. Too feminine. And she just doesn't project strength. And this isn't throwing shade against her as a women. I think she'd make a good president. It's just the nature of our current culture. We are at a low stage of development and consciousness as a people. Mexico elected a woman president before we did and that says a lot. Our culture is hyper masculine (contrary to all the hype around society becoming too feminine and 'woke'), bellicose and war like.
Interesting. I guess it will depend on where we are in 2028. I think we are at an stage where people want a populist and not the regular degular politician

I doubt it, now if you want to talk about her and Bernie saying fukk the democrats, forming their own party, and forcing the mainstream democrat nominee to kiss the ring for their endorsement to unite the progressive and the democratic wings.

Yes, you might have something there.

Well it's not that I disagree with you.
I would have preferred Bernie. And on some level I might even prefer AOC to Newsom.

But until a lot of these older, establishment candidates and congressmen retire or die off, it's going to be hard for someone like AOC to get the political support.

We may not be far away though. The boomers are in their 70s and 80s now.
