san fran is a better team, but they receivers are not better at all

Hard to judge when their receivers don't get a chance to make plays. I'd take Denver's receivers though....but yall telling me that you can accurately judge 9ers receivers in the offense they run with that QB? You think Moss would have like 10 catches this year with Peyton in there? :why:

i think moss u lost a step tho, and he dont look interested alot of the time, but i liked our receivers last year when we had tebow, our rec was beasting wit yac, but yea im sure san fran receivers would look better wit a better qb

He might have lost a step but he's still getting doubled even though he rarely gets targeted. Dude is still burning db's.

Decker and Thomas going forward I'd take over our receiving core...but folk sleep on the 9ers receivers too. A lot of depth and I think Manning would beast with a guy like Kyle Williams especially.

Moss wasn't really playing that well in NE though before they traded him.

Both Decker and Thomas have more catches, yards, TDs, ypc, and yac(just Thomas) than all of the 49ers WR. D.Thomas just off of raw ability >>>>>>>>> all of the 49ers receivers.

They're both 6'3+ and have good speed and can run after the catch. Plus you got Stokley who is still one of the better slot guys in the league.

I'd much rather have that bunch than San Fran's. Especially going forward.

Of course Manning has his part to play, but both of those guys are really talented.

Bronco's receivers (Thomas, Stokley, Decker) from an equal standpoint (equal qb's) are not receivers that are leaps and bounds ahead of the 49ers receiving corp (Moss, Crabtree, Manningham) - in no way, whatsoever. 49ers are run-heavy, they're the #1 rushing team in the league + 28th in passing; whereas the Broncos are 4th in the league for passing.

If the receivers were on the opposite teams, do you think we would be having this conversation?

thomas and decker are better than our whole receiving core :manny: not sure how its even arguable
broncos were run-heavy last year with fukking tebow and they still put up respectable stats.
thomas in particular is a#1 WR in the making, hes a great playmaker and is better than any of our WRs by a lot imo.

He wasn't getting the ball and was getting frustrated with the contract situation.

He has been good in SF, though. Just not getting the ball.

I watched the SF/NYG game a few weeks ago and Moss was beating the Giants secondary all day, they just couldn't get the ball to him

he's been running routes 84 out of 256 passing plays

or 84 out of 471 total plays...playcalling is part of it. of course, playcalling take in account alex's limitations but still.

stokley, for example, has run 182 routes on pass plays. thats more than twice as many.

Thomas is the most talented receiver between both teams, but you're a fool if you don't think Peyton would have SF's receivers looking like Pro-Bowlers too.

you're grossly exaggerrating...he beat em a couple of times but alex didnt even try.

fact is the coaching staff doesnt consider moss a legit #1 WR. he's running routes on a third of called pass plays.
