:rudy:

This all revolves around a poster's comment of '49ers receivers are not comparable to Denver's AT ALL' - and then providing statistical proof of his statement by saying, Decker and co have more catches, yards, TDs than the 49ers receivers. He doesn't make this comparison if the roles were reversed, simply because A. Smith wouldn't have put up better #'s than Manning; their teams are not designed in that way for this to be 'possible'. Therefore, he wouldn't have come to that conclusion, because eye-tests and stats would say otherwise.

This. End of argument, a laughable argument that should have never been brought up in the first place. Put Peyton on the 49ers and and everbody would be saying SF has a top 5 receiving corps in the league, but instead they stuck with Alex Smith and now all of a sudden Decker and Thomas are world beaters and better than what SF has got  Gotta love the coli

But right now, nobody means more to their team than Peyton Manning. You add that to the turnaround from last year, and their record. If they make the playoffs, I'd give it to Manning.
didnt they make the playoffs last year with tebow as their qb? :heh:

Again, it comes down to be able to :whoo: at the games and see what's going on.

Mario manningham and Michael Crabtree have not displayed the level of talent that Thomas and Decker have, PERIOD. Mario really just got to the point where he was considered decent like a year or two ago. Before that he was known as the dude who didn't know where the hell the sideline was.

Crabs is aight, but Thomas is easily better, and Decker might be better already. And this was with TEBOW playing.

lol at this. you nikkas on here speculating your ass off.

listen, phaggit. I know my team much better than you. the fact is you cant name a 49er receiver who had more tds than decker last year in last 8 years. because....one doesnt exist :heh:

thomas and decker alone are better than wr core we have. its a fact. with tebow last year, one of their WRs had more tds than anyone did in sf for years. the other, considered one of the most talented WRs in recent years, posted a very good line while constantly recovering from injuries.

thomas is a legit #1 WR in the making and decker is a great possession receiver who can make plays when needed and is a good RZ target.

decker=crabtree, and thomas is miles ahead of any other WR we have.

its not even debatable, but Ill bet youve seen like two 49ers games last 2 seasons and 2.5 broncos games :heh:

551 yards and 4tds in 10.5 games for thomas
8 tds for decker last year

thats not great for 2nd year receivers with who is supposed to be one of the worst qbs ever in tebow ? :wtf:

please find me a 49ers WR in last 8 years or so who had scored 8 tds in a season. dont worry, Ill wait.

 You're going to continue to wait until The 49ers stop being a run first team and get a QB with some balls who will actually throw it down field

You really think they would have went back to the playoffs winnin' every game on a miracle like last year? :stopitslime:
the facts are on my side :manny: you can twist them as you may please but the fact is that they made it to playoffs and won a game in the playoffs (by the way, with a huge part of their win against the steelers attributed to thomas)

the broncos last year were a....wait for it....wait for it....a RUN FIRST TEAM :heh:

you picked a wrong poster to have a football argument about 49ers with :heh:
and you are only digging yourself a bigger hole with each of your post

Yeah, they were, now their a pass first team, and they also happen to have the GOAT QB slingin the ball around, of course their numbers are gonna shyt all over what they did last year.

Your argument of who had 8 TDs last year for the 49ers is irrelevent. Your receiving corps last year was Crabtree, Ginn, & Braylon Edwards :dead: What the fukk has that got to do with this years? Y'all added Moss & Manningham, and yeah, nobody on the team will likely have 8 TD's or put up big yardage, but thats because only 3 teams in the NFL pass less than y'all, and when y'all do pass you've got Mr. Checkdown throwing the ball. And on top of that, y'all got one of the best TE's in the game who's gonna take away catches from the receivers. Its two totally different types of offenses, and one of them has a great QB, the other has Alex fukking Smith, of course the Broncos receivers are gonna look better than the 49ers on paper, but that dont mean shyt, most of the NFL's receivers look better on paper than the 49ers when all you're looking at is stats

Note that this argument conveniently leaves out Vernon Davis who despite being a TE is one of the main receiving threats, has posted 8 TDs before...and is arguably better than anything Manning is throwing to.

OK homey you win, Peyton Manning is not the reason for the Broncos success, and had Tebow still been on the team, he might have carried them on another undefeated streak :heh:
