:shaq2:

Peyton hasn't seen a single elite passing defense. Don't say the Steelers.

Rodgers against Houston >>>

But his performance has still been remarkable he's probably rated top 3 or 4 in DYAR and DVOA (both of which are more about a QB's value).

Steelers are second in pass yards per game and 9th in points for what its worth.

So we're counting that Seattle nonsense? :usure:

I mean, I see the point :manny:

But I don't get how last year's performance is relevant in an MVP discussion for THIS year.

Because he set the bar with his play, anything less, (stats, wins) will set him back a bit. It's not fair but that's how the voters look at it.

Peyton has a pretty good chance at winning it. The media loves his story of coming off the injuries and if he can win 11-12 games I'm sure he'll win it. I think unless he clearly is ahead of the pack I want someone else to win it. If J.J. Watt continues his superstar play I would like him to win. Would be good for the league, and maybe sway away from this QB dikk riding league

C/s I would love for Watts to win it I'm tired of qbs winning it

Besides what the other dude already said, go take a look at the QBs and Os that the Steelers have seen. Since Peyton the only good Qb they saw was a rookie (RG3). I don't buy that defense. I think they'll get exposed by Eli this week.

:russ: @ downplaying the Broncos victory at the same time as you try to trump up the Broncos QB.

Brady and Manning are neck and neck, edge to Brady, cuz, yanno, he won head to head.

It's all moot, cuz clearly Rodgers and Ryan have the strongest cases....unless they forcefeed Peyton. :shaq2:

:dwillhuh:...Brady gets the edge for handing the ball off to season high rushing numbers and time of possession numbers?? Brady passed for his least amount of yards this season in that game, and you wanna give him the edge cause his TEAM won? Get outta here! I don't understand why the TOP RATED passer in the LEAGUE on the FIRST PLACE TEAM IN HIS DIVISION somehow is underserving of MVP CONSIDERATION?? Sounds like his haters (Brady lovers) are getting worried that even after sitting on the couch for over a year, mutiple neck surgeries, playing on a new team, and playing outdoors (you know...since playing in a dome his whole career was the reason he put up those numbers) Peyton still sits atop the passer rating mountain half way thru the season. Respect his game and stop trying to find ways to convince yourself that what YOUR EYES ARE ACTUALLY SEEING isn't really true. :myman:

I don't think Eli will necessarily expose us anymore than we already have been exposed. We gave up 34 on the road to Oakland, couldn't stop Matt Hasselbeck in Nashville. Despite whatever defensive ranking they may have at this point it's pretty clear this isn't the 2008 Steelers D

The mutha****in BX
peyton has 4 picks this year, and 3 of those came in 1 quarter(in a dome ironically, where the brady stans held on to this argument for dear life).

i have him barely behind rodgers.

if brady stans had it their way, tom would have the last 5 MVP's, including the season he missed.

The pleas y'all cop for Peyton know no bounds. He couldn't overcome the mighty New England defense, so you tryna throw the results of that game out the window. Classic.:heh:

Keep staying stuck on stupid, but don't put words in my mouth. I never said he was undeserving of consideration, I said he was neck and neck with Brady, but BOTH were clearly behind Rodgers and Ryan.

I mean.......you know there's more to winning a game than offense right?

The New England defense did not defeat Peyton Manning.
