Watching episodes 5+6 of Beastars and how it builds on the carnivores vs herbivore issues is really interesting. In a society where if these two types are treated as people, but the former can easily eat the latter. In a strange twist, because of that herbivores can be seen bullying carnivores like we see when the two herbivores were bullying the freshman wolf Juno. As Leogshi meets with the Panda Doctor Gouhin he makes Legoshi feel even worse. Especially when it comes to what Legoshi thought about his new friendship with Haru whom he almost hunted. The fact that his body could potentially be tricking him where his romantic feelings for Haru are really his hunting instincts is really scary. The fact that his feelings are not genuine.

Though Deadass Gouhin is like you really think you are a wolf that is attracted to a Rabbit. He gave his magazines to fap to and be like if that doesn't solve your issues, and you are really attracted to a rabbit, go seek help

The last scene was surprisingly pretty tense. Throughout the date the Freya family is always watching them, where her request to kidnap is more so a request to save her. What more eludes that she feels like a prisoner in the Freya family. We all know Bell won't deny that request, so how things proceed next episode will be really interesting.

Not really. It is standard Generic Shounen, but tbh even among those Demon Slayer, Black Clover & Wistoria are better worth your time.

Blue Box Episode 3 adapted chapters 5-8. I loved how the practice sessions between Taki & Haryu and how it is elevated/extended from the manga. Which is important since it is a sports anime despite it being romance being the number 1 focus.

Spoiler: Blue Box Episode 3

Essentially, this episode showcased that Haryu is both a great Senpai and mentor for Taki. In terms of Badminton he is one that will put Taki to work, but obviously, he sees something in Taki in terms of his potential. I loved how he quickly figured out he had a crush on Natsu & used that as motivation for Taki's training. Though the reaction Taki had at the end that Haryu has a GF and Natsu was clearly aware of it.

Overall, Natsu is one character that is such a sweetheart that it feels impossible to dislike her. The scene when they were playing badminton & told Taki everything will be fine was really nice. Though it is clear Taki doesn't realize Natsu has her own things to deal with.

On another note, I really like how Taki empathizes that he loves badminton. If you don't have the love of the sport you are playing, you will eventually burn out. It would be concerning if all his motivation were for Natsu.

This episode adapted chapter 2. The two things that really standout are the cinematography & the banter. Dandadan's art in the manga is top tier with solid paneling. However, the way the anime takes the paneling and presents in the anime is next level. Very much at the level of Frieren & Monogatari.

Also, how the banter is executed through Momo & Okarun. The series' foundation grows through those two and god damn it, the anime staff truly understands that.

Spoiler: Dandadan Episode 2

Their whole banter is what makes this series so great. It gets elevated so much in the anime, which really is a showcase to how awesome the direction is from the director and all the ways to the voice actors, Shion Wakayama & Natsuki Hanae. For Shion it really is her breakout season this and last season. It started with Lemon in Makeine, but Dandadan is where she is truly shining. That is also to not discredit what she is doing with Asahi in Amagami Sisters. She is doing great there too.

Along with the banter, I loved the scene where Okarun mentioned he didn't want to miss his chance. You can empathize because he was willing to do something rather than nothing and regret it. But at the same time, Momo is straight with him about what his issues are. Then it translates back into the banter was perfection.

Also loved the solution to beating the Sumo Alien. The solution was to put the barrier back up, but being able to do that was the key. You did get a rough idea of Okarun's ability, but it feels like something he needs to get a handle on first. Plenty of times in shounens you see someone awaken to their power and if there are aftereffects it is after the situation is taken care of. Okarun was feeling the effects mid-battle not to mention the cruel ending to the episode of oh no Momo is passed out. What is going to happen next?

Also love the transition of black & white to color once the battle is done was another nice touch as well.
