Honestly, the recaps for Bocchi the Rock were surprisingly well done. It takes approximately 5 hrs of content → 2 hrs & 45 min of content.

It was very smartly condensed in a manner where if you watched S1 and you want to check out the new scenes & songs, I would recommend. Plus it is as fun when I watched S1 for the first time.

There are technically 2 movies, but each is meant to be watched together. But watching it for 2 hrs & 45 mins can feel long-winded. I prob give it an 8.5/10 assuming the person is aware that this is a recap.

Much like the Dandadan Pre-screening each part (Re: & Re:Re) is well put together, unlike the Demon Slayer which was them literally slapping 3 episodes into 1 with barely any effort.

@LordDeathwatch and anyone else looking for shows that have more meat and substance, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth looks like a good one. Given the time period, you have the science vs religion thing going. I liked how everyone we described Rafal to be he is a rational kid going to university at 12 years old. The fact that a heretic named Hubert got him to considered what the religion would consider blasphemy might be the truth.

Screen_Shot_2024-10-05_at_7.09.58_PM.png

I find it really interesting that he wants to research the truth despite the dangers. While it is logical to value your own life. However, by all accounts, Rafal is a scholar. What makes how Hubert interesting in the fact it isn't some science is supreme and God isn't real. The research is based on his belief in God. Religion considers Heaven the beautiful ideal, but he says I believe that God would create earth as that beautiful ideal.

The fact Hubert sacrifices himself to choose Rafal as his successor was bold and interesting. Curious how Rafal progresses further. The fact he lied to his father leads to the point he will seek to learn as much of the truth as possible. Rafal's father and Nowak are two really interesting characters.

I popped in to see if anyone was talking about this. It came on as my "next" after Dandadan and I wound up hooked for the two episodes that are out. The way they animated "eureka" moments was really dope, and the concept is sooo outside the box for what I expect from my anime. I'm hype about this joint.

Just FInished Oshi no Ko finale and I thought it was solid. S2 def feels much different than S1, but it was still solid. I think the pieces they set in motion for S3 should make them deliver on another solid season

This episode adapted chapter 2 and fairly well. As shown in the preview last week, Shirahi is introduced here, unlike in the manga where she was introduced in chapter 69. This can be just a minor change, though perhaps they can include her in some scenes where they are at the orphanage. I loved these two shots at the end of the episode.

Yuna is a sweetheart beneath her tsundere personality. Immediately feeling guilted for Uryu leaving. It did give us a nice introduction to the orphanage that Uryu is from. It is clear as day that Mahiru is one of his motivations for being a doctor. Obviously, his mother being the other. This episode showed more of Uryu's gentle side as despite what his beliefs are, he wouldn't say something to distress those kids. Obviously, they adore him as well.

Through each of their actions, both the sisters & Uryu show how a genuine side of them. The sisters seeing how he is with the kids, but the sisters for coming all the way to see him. I love the show of the cranes blowing along with the sunlight.

Man had to drop I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History.

The grooming and pedo stuff from the Male Love interest is too much. They ain't even subtle with it.
This show is a budget Bakarina. Dense villainess goes around making people like her.

The prince and her are both fairly young right? Is he really grooming her?

Same here. I dropped by just to talk about Chi: Chikyu no Undo ni Tsuite as well. The manga is a masterpiece, and judging by Episodes 1 and 2, the adaptation has been done extremely well...im hyped and wish netflix release all eps.:feedme:

As an anime-only for this joint, I was pretty struck by all the interesting character designs in the opening. I'm genuinely excited to see more of this world and watch how the story unfolds.

Honestly, even though the animation is just serviceable to solid, the writing and characterization are one of the best of this year.

Kokugetsusai really aggravating the Mountain Goddess. She's giving Senya a list of TODO like that huh. Though no surprise, a matchup between Senya & Nadare is inevitable. Though the cloud katawara will be important as our group needs to break the barrier surrounding Jinka.

You know, seeing Shinsuke at peace talking about Katawaras and convincing them not to eat humans really represents his growth. At the beginning of the series he lost his temper so many times and even was rushed to kill them when Shakuyaku got killed. Seeing what happened to both her and Jinka really empowers him to go for the peaceful approach. Which is a really neat direction considering his obsession of getting stronger.

Yazen offering the worst news Senya can hear. He might not have much time left. In many ways, like The Thousand-tailed Youko he is something beyond the means of human and katawara. Honestly, Jinka most likely remains in that form because he sucks up the surrounding land. I feel so bad for Senya as the bonds with Tsukiko and the others has been a fantastic thing to watch. I can empathize he wants to get this done asap, but knows the others getting involved aren't a match for Nadare.

Though no surprise, Tsukiko is racing right after him. No doubt she might not be strong enough, but this follows her character that she hates standing around and doing nothing. It's really nice to see that Shinsuke & Raido are able to leave the village as Taizen has become the Regional God. So one of the Mountain Goddess' tasks is done, but she might not like how it was done. Meanwhile, Kokugetsusai takes over Hanatora's body. I wonder how strong he is since he can take over even someone like Hanatora.
