The animation being stunning is one, but the direction of the fight was also fantastic. At first, you assume that the plan was that Wrath Nadeko would be disguised in Nadeko's current outfit. So when one of them was taken out, you assumed the other was the original Nadeko. But we see the Wrath Nadeko smirk and realize that this isn't the original Nadeko. Then God Nadeko confirming that neither are the original Nadeko you are left puzzled.
In reality, the Original Nadeko was among the Nadekos wearing Bloomers. Fantastic strategy from Nadeko to get the victory over God Nadeko. While it was a fantastic strategy from Nadeko, it was risky. At any time if God Nadeko realized where Original Nadeko was it would be over. This another show of growth for Nadeko. We know how bashful she is of wearing just Bloomers. So for her to go with it and put risk says a lot. In her time as God Nadeko she really didn't put many thoughts into anything. She played it safe. That was the key thing that was in current Nadeko's favor.
A little twist is that God Nadeko wasn't the last Nadeko remaining, but in fact it was Meek Nadeko. Meek Nadeko gives the biggest highlight on who Nadeko used to be. The other three were simply Nadeko at a specific moment. Nadeko highlights how she played the victim and that was her default personality. As the victim, she had no control of her life. There was nothing that she wanted to do. She let others dictate what she would do. Responsibilities were handed to her and she just said ok. At the same time, she never did anything on her own. She leaned on getting help to a default. She never did anything for herself.
This is a situation that is not black or white. On one hand, you can't expect blame the victim because you are through of as heartless. What if the victim constantly puts themselves in a position where they need help and those people like Koyomi were coming to save her each time. This is why Kaiki told Koyomi to stay away from Nadeko. His over-willingness to help others was doing more harem to Nadeko than good. Nadeko loved Koyomi Araragi, and he was her only purpose in life. So when the reality came that he would never love her as he does Hitagi well that's when she became God Nadeko and shyt hit the fan.
As Nadeko meets Meek Nadeko the way she handles her is done extremely well. Meek Nadeko was always waiting for Koyomi. As she loved him, but her entire life revolved around him. This behavior is not healthy. She was willing to wait and wait for him to fall in love with him. As Nadeko knows, that was never going to happen. As Meek Nadeko waits, Koyomi has moved on to college with his girlfriend Hitagi Senjougahara. Not only is she still waiting for something that won't happen. Koyomi has moved on. At this point, Meek Nadeko needs to take action for the first time in her life. Which is what each of the other Nadekos have done.
Instead of rejecting Meek Nadeko she accepts her. She accepts that she did enjoy longing for a relationship with Koyomi. She will learn that experience to grow. To meet new people and hopefully fall in love again. The difference this time is she is going to take action with her next love. She will take action with building quality relationships. The biggest thing is that she has dreams now, and she wants to fulfill them. This moment really showcases the big growth that Nadeko Sengoku has had since the beginning of the series. In fact, there could be a time in the future she can look at Koyomi and Hitagi with a positive outlook. Instead of the man who rejected her love and the woman that the man she loved fell in love with.
As Nadeko heads back, she is greeted by Tsukihi who eventually sleeps in her bed. Shinobu emerges from Tsukihi's shadow. Given that Tsukihi is the apparition of the Phoenix and since she is also the sister of Koyomi Araragi, she can emerge from Tsukihi's shadow as well. The conversation between Shinobu and Nadeko is a big difference from their last conversation back in
Otorimonogatari. Back then Shinobu mentioned how Nadeko just happened to be cute. She basically called Nadeko out when she was fully meek Nadeko. She had no goals in her life and didn't take action. The change Nadeko has gone has gotten the respect of Shinobu. Which is a big deal. It is funny how she doesn't realize that she said that Nadeko just happened to be cute, but Nadeko isn't going to let that bother her. Which shows her growth from Wrath Nadeko.
Ononoki brings news from Gaen that she impressed in Nadeko for being calm under pressure. She would like to request her assistance from time to time. Not only did Nadeko demonstrate she isn't harmful, but also she can be a big help to Gaen. As Nadeko points out, Ononoki wanted her to come with the plan to showcase this. Despite being an undead doll, Ononoki had a lot of heart in these plans.
Now Nadeko has two ambitions. Her main one is to write and draw her manga. The other which is more on the side is being a specialist. As that can also help her create ideas for her manga, but also help her build quality of connections. Which is what she promised Meek Nadeko that she would do.
