Ranger Reject Episode 3

We finished volume 1, and they rearranged the café scene into this episode. Kind of makes sense. They did change it to where Hibiki hears their conversation outside the café rather than inside like in the manga. The only thing they didn't adapt yet is the Hibiki stuff at the beginning of chapter 4, but tbh that stuff fits better what comes starting next episode. Action scenes being elevated from the manga is fantastic. Now regarding with the episode.

We have seen how weak the monsters are in respect to the Rangers. The first being that D forced a situation where he posed a threat of both him and Tokita would die. Tokita values his life so that left to an opening for D to take advantage up. The 2nd was D using his detached arm to pretend he was holding the divine artifact. Their biggest strength is their ability to not die unless it's against a Divine Artifact and trickery. How they use that is key.

Suzukiri's comment of the rangers being a flawed organization holds true. They are top-heavy, which if you think about isn't a good foundation. If something happens to the Rangers what do think would happen to that foundation? Hell taking a Divine Artifact is a blow in itself if they can't recover it

Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 3 only adapted Chapter 3. But they expanded on the various scenes of Taiyou training in which we see him receiving aid from both Shion and Shinzou, which really adds to their relationship. The scenes with Mutsumi where he gives her a jacket when she is asleep and when they meet outside are anime original. Which add more to their relationship, which are great changes as they are the foundation of the series.

Now regarding the episode itself.

This episode was basically a showcase of Taiyou's resolve. Talk about insanity for a person without enhanced powers, but it's doable. The biggest thing that this episode showed us was that for Taiyou you can't question his heart. Mutsumi was always there for him, and now he will do the same. We slowly see Taiyou making bits of progress.

This episode gave us a bit of insight on Futaba. She is the dependable older sister in the family. She was essentially testing Taiyou to see at what point would he start breaking down. It was sweet for the other siblings to help Taiyou to help him go beyond his limits. Futaba knows that babying him won't help him. But for him to have it to where the limiting factor is his physical build rather than his mental and his heart. The later are important as he is up to the task to protect Mustsumi. She just has to make sure Taiyou doesn't overdo it because he will if it means to protect Mutsumi.

The start is a bit on the slow side as the SoL parts at the beginning are important. It probably won't be till the 2nd half of the season around July when the anime will start popping off.

The studio apartment angel roommate show got better. It's still cliche as hell but they added a few more girls to the harem and the comedy value increased because of it.

Train To The End of the World Episode 4

This honestly has one of the best orignals in a good while. Everything from the mystery and change of the world have been very well done. So the idea that the world was recreated from Youka's imagination is insane. But it makes sense given that she was the trigger to the 7G.

Poor Akira. I wonder if the shroom was affecting her brain since it took root. Since not letting her friends know would just make it worse. The solution of pulling the shroom seems to be more risky since the time the shroom has taken root in her for much longer. And for now Akira is shroomified.

Poor Reimi, she had good intentions to save Akira, but it backfired. Though now they are in a little town where they got attacked like they were Kaiju/monsters. Well they actually got tied up, and I wonder how they're going to get out of this situation first. The situation is not looking good.

It is a mystery

saw a visual of wonder egg priority in a discussion about animators and thought to myself "why does this look familiar":jbhmm:

this has to be the ULTIMATE "spark when it started" anime. When it was airing, it was THE anime to watch. It has no legacy at all, due to having the GOAT fumble at the very end :wow:

  • People will give darling in the FRANXX crap for switching it up midway through, but it honestly landed nicely at the end and 02 is still a staple anime character
  • People will give the promised neverland/tokyo ghoul crap for season 2, but that's purely the anime's fault for damn near sabotaging the plot that the manga had laid out for them. It is also a separate season so its easier to ignore.
  • Even soul eater, which got weird near the end, had fed the streets for so long (40+ episodes of piff) that it doesn't even matter. It's still brought up positively to this day and the characters and setting are iconic.

come to think of it, FMA is the only mainstream anime that deviated very heavily while retaining quality the whole way through. Yet it's somehow is the only one that got a brotherhood retelling:skip:

But back to wonder egg priority, I forgot this even existed, but when it was airing I was STANNING it. It was front and center of crunchyroll/funimation and all the anime streaming sites. Now its damn near invisible. Are there any other examples like this?

The only other original story that fell off badly was Witch from Mercury. Prologue was easy 10/10 and part 1 was slow but had really good set up. But part 2 was certified :trash:

Tho not as iconic as Wonder Egg That fall off is iconic they gave 0 fukks oh how they were going to end of it :russ:

Spice & Wolf Episode 5

Overall financially things are looking good for Lawrence, but damn poor Holo. Holo has been alone for so long looking for her companions with no luck in sight. Such a sweet moment for Lawrence to comfort Holo in this situation. :mjcry:

Looks like Lawrence's deal has made him enemies. The real issue lies in with Holo's connection to the church and that can create so much added trouble. The threat of her being sold to the church is very real. I wonder if there is anything else playing in the cards with regard to this deal.

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy S2 Episode 16

So we learned that Ilumgand is also from the same town as Makoto's parents, and he was childhood friends with Luria. When they got reunited she didn't seem like the same girl. But rather he didn't understand the hardships she faced. So instead of being willing to empathize with her, he follows his classmates and shuns her.

Rona essentially manipulated him into her puppet. Now this makes for what Makoto wants to do very interesting. Last episode he dealt with the annoying wrath of the hyumans with the head of the merchant guild. But demons aren't good news either and there is reason he shouldn't flock to their side either. There is no way Makoto is willing to let this slide. As I feel he has attachment to his students.

At this point he should just avoid both sides and just go for his self interests. The main thing that was stated in his conversation with Eva. The idea of retaking his parents' homeland. Which was attacked by demons. This is a crucial point for Makoto curious how it plays out from here.

They were like 4 episodes away from making a classic and they fumbled it :mjcry:
