TenSura S3 Episode
You know it's been awhile since we had a S1 episode like this. Where it was very SoL about the state of Tempest, but not having the tension that was present all throughout S2. I want to say since the 2nd half of S1. Slime Diaries would count as well. This episode great as it mainly was about wrapping up the aftermath of the various events in S2. The funny thing is that there was one person doing all the work on each side. Albis wrapping up the work of Benimaru's group and Hakurou wrapping up the work of Shuna's group. The siblings are delegating much like Rimuru does. On one sense it is about being the leader, but neither of those two HAD to come back to Tempest immediately.
The situation with Edmaris and Reyhim seem to be very well handled. Falmuth with their new king could very likely lead to more war if they seek to put more blame on Edmaris. Well Youm's group should be fine especially considering they have Diablo hiding in the shadows. How the meeting with the Western Holy Church and Reyhim goes could be interesting to note. Though given last episode there shouldn't be much concern for Rimuru's group given the conversation between Luminous and Hinata.
The character interaction were pretty fun. Shuna being suspicious of her brother getting closer to Albis. And that suspicion caused Shion to come to some odd conclusions. But in a further detail poor Geld. It reminds me of that one guy at work who is good at communicating to his group, but when he branches out or receives a larger role he starts struggling. Though I assume given time he will be fine.
Following the meeting between Rimuru, Gazeru and Eren's father Erald. Seems the Empress of their Kingdom of Thailon officially declared diplomatic relations. Very curious how this creates things going forward. Also, we have Benimaru investigating the Tengu. Warlike species are interesting. Hakurou also mentions the Dark Elves which followed Clayman. We haven't seen Dark Elves, and we also might have Rimuru be the one investigating those ruins that Hakurou mentioned.
The big information drop is that, it is not the whole forest of Jura that recognize Rimuru as their leader. Just the parts that the Dryads build. Pretty interesting. Because of the declaration when the Demon Lords met now the other parts of the forests need to come to Rimuru since they don't want to think they are angering him. Not to mentioning being able to get a powerful figure like a Demon Lord protecting their species in a big help. Honestly seeing more types of monsters is really exciting, as that was an aspect of S1 that I really enjoyed

I just got back from SPY x FAMILY Code: White. It's nothing new that adds to the series, it allows you to understand the general story of SXF, but the 3rd Act with Anya, shyt has me weak. Nice film to watch.Secure Da Bag

Crunchyroll hyping it up with a countdown every week. I wish they did that for all their anime. Or at least put up a schedule.

Just saw it as well tonight. I think the fact when you consider that it is an anime original film I think they did a great job. It gives someone who never seen the series background information at the start to be able to watch if with no issue. It serves a great introduction to the family. Wit really went hard in act 3 of the movie.
Easily the best action and animation the series has had. Comedy was at its best in this arc as well.I'd say it's overall a great introduction to people experiencing the series for the first time and something that those that had seen the anime and/or the manga to have a good time with. It's very self-contained, it doesn't add anything that elevates the main story, but at the same time no contradiction, which is one issue you usually see with anime original movies.
Another glorious Kaiju No. 8 day.

Reminder how big TenSura is in Japan. KnY and MHA will prob be the only ones this season to go above it once they start airing new episodes.
More Ln series need to put more care in it's manga adaptations like TenSura does. It's a standout series in all 3 mediums. Emmience is the only other one that I can think of that does that.

Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master Episode 3
Yukiya really is going to work his ass off for the prince. Smart ass characters like them really shine when they have to put in the work. So far so good. It seemed weird why the prince designed different water for pots, but clearly there is a test for unsafe water. Him warning to Yukiya to not drink the water is key because you never drink water that you are unsure if it is safe.
We get a big description that Wakamiya is the prince because he is a true Kin'u. Lots of information shed what makes them special. Hope they can show us these things eventually. Issue for the prince is dealing with the Empress she is plotting to the expense of the prince. I am curious on how the prince's older brother views him in contrast to his mother.
The consort subplot is less interesting, though this episode made it even more clear how naive Asebi is. For one, she never saw the shapeshifting right in front of her eyes. But also she learns that Ravens whom work as horse since they lost the will to live as humans. Binding their third makes it so they are unable to transform. It makes me wonder if this is both choice, is it forced upon or are both scenarios possible?
Even despite everything happening you can see the prince doing his best to take care of the consorts and his two assistants. Though poor Yukiya for having to take the fall, granted it is his fault they got noticed.

This is just one of those series that works as a book but not as an anime. Spy Classroom was the same way. With cote it’s just important to be in the character’s heads hearing their perspective and internal monologues. Especially Ayanokoji who was entertaining in the novels but boring in the anime.
