Finished rewatching Konosuba S2. The comedy is as well written as with S1, but the execution of the comedy itself had a noticeable improvement. Puts it clearly over S1. The OVA for S2 was outstanding. Will actual watch the movie for the first time since I kept putting it off when I first watched the series.

Last season of anime had great openings...especially Ragna's 2nd one.

Bucchigiri ended up being real dope. Nice to see fighting anime wrap themselves up in 12/13 episodes.
Sengoku was fukking fire too.

Wind breaker 1st episode was fire.

I'm really waiting on Viral Hit tho.

Watched the first episode of Ranger Reject (Official English title is Go! Go! Loser Ranger!). Having read the first nine volumes of the manga, I think this is a series people here will really like. It only adapted the first chapter, but it adapted well. Essentially showing that the MC is D, who is a monster who is considered a villain unlike the famed Dragon Keepers. But the idea that their real battle was lost against the Rangers long ago, and they are stuck in an endless struggle does a good job at making them the underdog.

Really hoping that the anime expands on the action & fights as I found them lacking in the manga at times.

Watched the first episode of Mission: Yozakura Family. As I started reading it as well, this should be a fun one. In a funny contrast with SxF, I feel like this is kind of what people some people wanted SxF to be. That being an action series of spies. This being an action comedy and SxF being SoL Comedy. The episode adapted all of chapter one and the one note is the rearrangement of showing the car accident and showing Taiyo and Mutsumi at Taiyo's families funeral. Good change as it puts the focus on Mutsumi always be there for Taiyo.

Episode overall a good job focusing on Taiyo and Mutsumi relationship showing that Mutsumi has been there with Taiyo from the jump. Mutsumi not forcing the marriage on him is a moment that really shows her character and shows she cares and empathizes what Taiyo has gone through. Taiyo for once wanted to be the one to protect Mutsumi in contrast. Essentially what is the point if he is always being protected by her while she suffers. Really solid first episode.

I haven't paid attention to anime in a while. Last series I really watched was MT 2nd part of season 2. I'm not even sure I want to watch the next part right now because I've been reading the light novels and I've actually reached the beginning of season 2 now and I'm shocked at all the stuff they cut out of the anime that gives further context to things.

I guess I say reading but I been listening to the audiobooks on Spotify for free with Premium.

I see thy got a new monster show that looks like it straight up rips off Slime and has the nerve to air in the same season as it.

The light novels are super superior to the anime but it does a good job of adapting it to me (so far)

Megumin Spinoff isn't bad as it has development for Megumin and world building for the series. But it lacks the comedy charm the main series has.
