Yeah Pang is in denial and also a massive idiot, that doesn't detract from the fact that his sheer battle power is greater than pretty much anyone we've ever seen, outside of Wang. He could never be a General, he lacks every other characteristic outside pure martial skill, they basically made him a Great just because his presence alone is enough to fold most opposition and raise morale. But leading men? Honor? He's a shell and Biao pulled his hoe card and left him to rage quit.@LordDeathwatch Man Kingdom coming up big with these episodes.
Man Biao literally telling Pang Nuan the cold hard truth. He talks about about being a God of War and in terms of strength he is great. But everyone knows that it isn't because of him that killed Wang Yi, but Li Mu. Dude thinking one arrow means nothing . A fight between two warriors at such a high level even a small thing can make the difference. It really shows that Pang Nuan is no general as Biao mentions.
Here we kind of see Xin old tendencies of being stubborn. Lord Biao is dead there is no bringing himself back. But Biao put himself in position so that Xin and his squad can make it to Xianyang. Now this is where someone as levelheaded as Bi is great. Xin is emotional and we all understand that, but he needed someone to get through to him. The biggest thing is don't let Biao's death be in vein.
Man I give Zheng props here. Most Kings wouldn't go out on the battlefield. But this is the special things that Wang Yi saw in him. Awesome scene knowing no big name general/commander is around. Well he plans to go there himself. Now the part of using civilians, yes what Xin mentions they aren't soliders. But if they can provide assistance is anyway possible his risk has merit.
We have seen Bu Lu as someone very composied, but Zheng going out had him stunned. Not to mention one of his four pillars did what he was right in terms of Qin. After all that is where his current position is. But this is the first time we seen this out of Bu which makes things vastly interesting going forward.
This was an awesome emotional moment. Xin has been through so much since the start of S3. Their partnership which has been established since the show started. For a long time Zheng has been depending on Xin to make moves while he fights these political battles and now we get to see Xin lean and reply on Zheng.
These just casually tease Xin about him finally being done crying
Zheng, as we saw from flashbacks into his past, has always been a little crazy, a little too reckless with his life and although it's more tempered now, that part of him is very much still alive. He's not trying to die because his dream of a united China is more important to him than anything but he's also willing to roll the dice and get down in the mud to get that dream a step closer to reality. His experience having to deal with his half brother attempted coup and all of Buwei's bullshyt has just put a fine edge on it and this move is exactly what everyone needs to see. This guy is built different and he has to be to make history.
It's pretty crazy how well he balances Xin and vice versa just like his childhood friend. It's almost like an unbroken story from the outset of 2 slave boys. Everything else has changed, the stakes are higher and the titles and bodies on the line are mammoth but the core remains the same. Very well written, very human moments here in the short lulls between endless battles.
