Sousou no Frieren Ep 14 adapted chapters 29 + 30. One thing to note at least on cruncyroll's translation there is a huge translation error. Below it goes into more detail.

I love the dynamic between Stark and Fern because despite being on this journey with Frieren. They feel like kids who are still trying to figure things out. Stark is truly a big hearted kid whom wears his emotions on his sleeve. But is still learning the process of growing up. While Fern is one who bottles her emotions inside of her. And she is learning how to express them clearly. Sein's advice here is perfect

Stark shouldn't be afraid to speak up to Fern, as she isn't going to judge him unfairly. Meanwhile Fern needs to say whats on her mind otherwise she will never get through to him.Honestly when Sein says he is looking after 3 kids he isn't wrong per say. Frieren might be the oldest among them, but in terms of experience that can help Stark and Fern in their awkward moments this is stuff that she is unfamiliar with. But the flashback with Heiter is great. It reminds Frieren that even if you don't have the answers you still need to be the role model for these kids to look after. Just like how Heiter raised Fern and its apparent Heiter isn't the ideal parent.

Frieren has a habit of giving up on losing stuff. So it was great that Fern was there to push her. The ending to this episode was very beautiful. And its obvious Himmel knew what that ring stands for even tho Frieren didn't know until Fern told her in the present.

Also a tid bit world building that I imagine a lot of people will over look. Humanity has only learned flying magic in the last 40 years. Monsters and Demons ruled the sky before humanity learned flying magic from demons.

Undead Unluck world building in this episode once again showcasing it as one of its strongest points.

Honestly you don't get much world building in a lot of Shonens from WSJ. So this was really cool in the sense that the penalty added a galaxy. Which is normally for us but so much was added from their perspective. I love the world building that this show has brought so far.

Of course they also got aliens and an invasion of them. But holy cow this episode really showcased why Juiz is the leader god damn. She cleared out the Alien invasion force and intimidated them so bad that they won't bother coming back again. :mjlol:

We also established the main goal that our cast needs to avoid. Adding 2 more rules and it is basically the end damn.

With relatively little screen time Todo is basically my favorite character.

Him and Yugi jumping the hell out of Hanami is still my personal favorite fight.

Edit: I could watch a whole series of Yugi and Todo jumping folk. No story just claps

Just watched the Boy and the Heroin. It was a good film. I liked the story for the kid. Mainly at the beginning he loses his mother and he has a hard time accepting his new mom. But on his journey to bring her back home not only do you see constantly he is willing to do whatever it takes to bring her back. But at the end when he realizes that Himi is his mom he has grown enough to accept she can't walk the same door as her. Still looking back being able to be with her great most likely meant the world to him.

Visuals were great and music was very nice. I will mention that this isn not an easy to digest film. Pacing is a lil all over the place because there are moments that I wished went faster and others where I wished it gave it time to slow down. This def feels one that is more suited to watching at home then at theaters if I had to say.

That’s pretty tame, compare that to how Nanami went out… that is 100% :picard: R.I.P. 🙏🏽

She got first aid right after and dude said she’s probably dead. I’ve read enough Manga to know how these can play out and Gege is clearly leaving that possibility open. She’s Schrödinger’s Cat at this point, I wont say she’s alive or dead but realistically it can go either way.
They didn't stand on business at all

She's alive, with a bandage scar at worst :unimpressed:

Episode was cool, todo reminds me of gai mixed with jiraiya, he's one of the few winners in the JJK cast for me

Seems like they'll be wrapping this up soon

Question of the day:

Have y’all ever fully watched an anime and felt like you wasted your time?

Finished Onimusha, extremely mid. I’m glad I don’t know much about it because it would have probably made me mad.

At least it was better than Yasuke.

:mjlol: :mjlol:

I very slightly feel that way about Pluto, but I knew what type of show it was, but to realize I spent like 16 hours watching it is crazy.

It happens time to time. Honestly for some mediocore stuff they can still be entertaining to watch. But if it wasn't even that then :francis:

Learning knowing when to drop a show is important because too many brehs fall into the sunk cost fallacy too often.

Regarding Pluto you gotta understand what type of shows are your thing and which aren't. Sometimes high acclaimed shows may just be for you :manny:

One thing I have mentioned before with @LauderdaleBoss some times people praise stuff for being deep but its really shallow like Sonny Boy when that was airing back. That's why I always look into what I am watching without going into spoiler territory.

Himmel was so damn smooth with it, he knew exactly what he was doing :wow: :wow: too bad he had to choose an elf that wouldn't connect the dots until a century had passed :dead:

At least Stark wont have to wait till he grows old and dies for Fern to actually understand what the fukk is going on :russ:
