:ohhh:

im tired of MAPPA abusing these people for excellence, this some jackson family type nonsense, you hate the process but love the results at the same time

even a trailer like this raises more interesting questions for me that Undead @tripleaamin

The worst part is that you know how talented their staff is. You see stuff like Yuji & Nanami vs Mahito in S1, Yuji vs Getou in JJK 0 and Yuji vs Choso in S2. Mappa is falling into the same thing Madhouse ran into and you know eventually it's going to catch up to them sooner or later. They want to be the next Kyoto and Ufo, but they are just gonna run into the ground like Madhouse did.

Like the anime industry, hell working conditions in Japan is widely considered bad. But JFC Mappa is taking that to another level.

Also I didn't know this got a outside of Japan release date. Been wanting to check it out :ehh:

If Netflix can get consistent piff on the level of Devilman Crybaby and Pluto :whew: bringing concise anime stories back to the forefront

Yeah, if Netflix can establish itself as the place were more in depth and/or mature stories get dope animation and time to cook, I'm all for it. They even got Studio Trigger to not fumble the end of an anime original with Cyberpunk Edgerunners :ohlawd:

I have Pluto on my add list but was a lower priority.

You saying it’s like that?

When I do get to it, was try. A decide should I watch that first or Blue Eyed Samurai

:whew: that's like getting a Bun B verse without him spelling his name

Pluto is well written, you gotta be immersed and paying attention, those hour long episodes can get confusing real quick if you get distracted easy. It's prolly an acquired taste, like your favorite animator will think it's >>>>> but a casual may think it doesn't have enough of the typical tropes we always see

I can't even speak on what I liked most about it cuz it's pretty much a spoiler :wow:

shyt wraps up in 8 episodes so  we getting straight to the point flcl style

Just finished Pluto. Man that was a grind.

I liked it for what it was….

Of course the episode that I liked the least was some people’s favorite, just like TLOU.

Ron Kamonohashi Deranged Detective ep 9 finished the first big case/arc in the series. As a manga reader they adapted it very well adding a lot of intrigue going forward.

It gives a different feel the previous cases where it was like cool we solved the case. This is specifically tied to the incident that forced Ron to give up 5 years of his life being a detective. Adding a lot of intrigued. Also considering they targeted Ron specifically.

We got the connection with the Moriarty and Holmes families. Also the M family committing crimes that guaranteed to go unsolved. Both of these bits of information is really interesting imo.

Man JJK has really been on it this season.

I can’t think of an anime that has gotten so much better for their second season.

That fight with Sukuna and Volcano head was crazy.

I don’t even like volcano head and even he had a lit fight.

This is the type of arc you have to watch multiple episodes back to back.

Once a week doesn’t do it justice.
Glad to see you're all caught up. I told you this season was going to be special when you were talking about finishing up S1. This season is absolute flames.
Dark Gathering ep 21 adapted chapters 27+28. These chapters were well adapted in particular the Otogiri flashback was very well done. Just seeing it animated made the impact of it felt as she went out on her own terms much greater imo.

Hearing Yayoi saying motherfukker was downright hilarious :mjlol: .

Big Props to Eiko for stepping up saving Yayoi-chan and Keitaro. Her using Anna in the experiment paid BIG dividends here. Since she would be hanged like Yayoi-chan if she didn't have Anna take the hits for her the whole party would have been dead to right.

Otogiri vs Black Asura of the Eclipse is a fun matchup. Basically we got each of them regenerating by using the other. But damn Otogiri backstory delivered better then when I read it in the manga. Woman like Kurenai are fukking scary irl there is no bounds what they will do to get what they want. At least Otogiri got her revenge as she went out.

The first is a doodle to celebrate the episode by Kondou-sensei and the second is fan art by the art director.

Thanks for reminding me, I'm late watching the latest episode for DG, definitely about to watch that today and report back. Last I saw they'd barely got that Graduate and escaped the Banana Milk hotel.:dame:x10

Not sure how to feel about I'm in Love with the Villainess. The main character is a lesbian going after a person that identifies as heterosexual and she just constantly harasses her. 6 episodes in and there's been no indication the love interest is gay. I know she'll end up turning gay but it's kinda creepy right now.

Kinda surprised Shy has been more of a lowkey show then early MHA. Like its decent the same way early MHA was decent. I guess MHA having a push being part of Weekly Shonen Jump or the difference in female heavy vs male heavy cast could be the difference.

Anyway this episode was very well done. Surrounding the stuff with Pepesha. This episode is right up with Shy saving Iko that happened earlier in the season. Pepesha seeing the people in the orphanage not only unconscious but turning against her against their will is sad. Then you add the memories of her mom coming back. Poor girl.

If that girl and her mom are connected it is clear that her reason for living was for her daughter and the whole thing them fighting feels so dirty.

Gotta see the comedic stuff with Kufufu really fell flat. And kinda made the episode feel slow till we got to the Pepesha stuff that I mentioned above.

Imo if you are two episodes behind I would wait till this Sunday's episode drops since the current Haunted Spot encounter takes these 3 episodes to wrap up. So it works very nicely for a binge.
