So Summertime Rendering had the episode when they finally explain what the fukk is going on. Even though it was pretty standard/run of the mill backstory, the way things unfolded was :picard:

It's not as powerful as Erased, but SD leaves the annoying and boring parts of Re:Zero out (it also doesn't need to do worldbuilding like an Isekai) and just focuses on the stuff that is actually compelling to watch.

With 13 more episodes left though, I wonder what it's gonna do to solve the time loops becoming tired, as I feel this 5th loop should be at most the next lo last one (hopefully it's the last one, tbh).

Going to give Nana a fair chance. I will really not give up on this one for real this time.
I will try to go all the way to the end, even though it has no ending :troll:
One thing I noticed already is the characters in this show got 5heads. What I've seen so far hasn't been bad but I have 0 idea where it's going.

I'll also check out some other anime as well since I'm getting back in. How did people ultimately feel about tokyo brehvengers? People were amped for it weekly then suddenly stopped talking about it

Just finished catching up with Overlord.

S1 was good. It created a good foundation for the main cast, solid worldbuilding, and gave an understanding of Ains goals.
S2 was mid. 1st half with the Lizards was cool, but the 2nd half with the kingdom felt messy and unfocused.
S3 was good. Made the cast feel like villains of sorts which is something different, world-building was done much better than S2 and emotional moments were great.

Villains of sorts? These fools jumped out the window on that super villain tip, especially during S3. On the occasion where Ains catches himself, he's still on the verge of fukkery. :mjlol:

When I used to have cable all the anime I watched came from Toonami. Even the popular ones. Like I used to see MHA recommended to me on youtube and I would ignore it, but I came across it on Toonami (training camp arc) and liked what I saw.

If something is on hiatus for 10 years I wouldn't expect it to ever return. If a person lives to be 70 then 10 years is almost 15% of their life. I'm assuming some health issue caused the pause if it's been that long so if it's that serious then it's probably a wrap.
