Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Man, I just finished watching The Seven Heavenly Virtues. This show is ridiculous all ten episodes are like five minutes, so the show breeze by quickly, but the fukkery is up there. Ep. 2 and 3 had me dying, but ep. 3 towards the end legit had me like all in real time. The show is SFW and I kinda see why Sony wasn't letting Sentai put HiDive on the PlayStation.

Hidive has been on Playstation through the VRV app but due to the funimation/crunchyroll situation its getting removed tomorrow.

I meant Sony basically wasn't letting Sentai have HiDive as an standalone app, I know about HiDive being on VRV and going to be removed which sucks, but that's no surprise.

gotcha didn't realize that they were stopping it from having a standalone app. Sucks its getting removed so now I gotta buy another app for my uncut anime.

What is it about Demon Slayer that just dominates sales and records like that?
Don't get it twisted at all, I liked Demon Slayer. I'm far from a hater, I went out of my way to see Mugen train in theaters
But with the exception of episode 19, it's just good shounen. I thought Jujutsu Kaisen and Tokyo Revengers were both better as far as new big shounen on the block
Attack on Titan is still ongoing and has a hold on the West but has nowhere near the clout in Japan it seems

Visually its hard to top Demon Slayer. That helped alot with its popularity. You can take the wackest anime and give it Demon Slayer level presentation and you more than likely gonna have a hit show on your hands.

animation was dope, but again outside of episode 19 was the animation really better than Jujutsu Kaisen? Is the animation better than S1 of One Punch Man or of Mob Psycho 100?

People just like it, it’s 1 of those things that you can’t really explain why. There’s no formula for creating a phenomenon they just happens

It has a lot of little things that make it appealing. The animation is amazing, people love the main characters. Also people like the whole Tanjiro protecting his Demon sister thing and get really invested in the story.

it’s success is definitely an anomaly, it’s become 1 of those transcendent gateway anime

Yes, I like JJK fight scenes better though. Demon Slayer looks like a movie every episode and the visuals are the movement is so fluid it doesn't even look like an anime. Ufotable is GOATed at incorporating CGI too
