Ascendance of a Bookworm is pretty good. I think it compares to Jobless Reincarnation meets Spice and Wolf. It’s a very chill laid back show. The main character is very much like Rudeus with the sharp mind of an adult in the body of a child. She’s pretty manipulative and she seems to be able to create things the people of her current world don’t have any knowledge of.
The only thing is the main character doesn’t seem to be the person that inhabit in the new world. More like one day at age 5 they woke up in this body and have access to its memories but they don’t seem to be that person. I’m wondering if this becomes a plot point later.

I feel like a fool for sleeping on this show for so long. Most isekais are trash to be honest but this is elite level isekai. Belongs up there with Re:Zero, Jobless Reincarnation, Slime, The Devil is a Part Timer, Escaflowne, The Familiar of Zero, No Game No Life, and My Next Live as a Villainess.
This dude looking at her like WTF she's like 6 years old conducting advanced conversations and negotiations with adults. She's doing stuff there's no explanation for. She's the child of a commoner who technically couldn't read or write and can't explain how she knows anything she knows.

cuz in ep 13 he's still the biggest scaredy-cat, yelling and crying in every scene. He's ruining the tone of the show for me.

He's bringing some levity tropes to an otherwise dark toned show. He shows another side later but he's never going to stop being a part time ho.

I almost completely lost interest in Demon Slayer when he showed up barely finished the season
