Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

All caught up an AoT and I can’t say I like the direction it took. All the main characters have been deconstructed completely. There isn’t even a side to root for anymore just a bunch of factions pushing for their own agenda. I will say the person shaping up to be the show’s antagonist is surprising.

I wish we had a few more scenes of the Titans running this season

As far as the mechs, I'd have to agree on a number of them. I liked the Aegis and the one that was an underwater specialist, because that's a largely ignored aspect in the franchise.

The Strike, Strike Freedom were nuclear powered cheat codes, not to mention the Meteor attachments. Kira was wrecking 30 ships/suits in one barrage. They knew not to give Mika that type of power.

breh. mika did the most with the least out of all the (actual) gundam pilots dude was a barbarian. clubs, hand to hand, etc - most protags get a giant beam cannon for their level up. IBO? they FINALLY gave him a full set of armor to work with and a tail

You ain't never lied, breh had to use a Gundam nikkas had rigged up to power the base, stripped down. Basically a Gundam sitting on bricks.

Give that man half of what Kira had access to and the whole franchise is in a new Universal Century with humanity based on Mars.

I think that was the point, there’s not supposed to be someone to root for. It’s giving you the full story rather than making 1 side look better than the rest cause all sides are pretty trash tbh just like in real life.

Reiner and the squad caused the deaths of thousands because they were brainwashed little kids doing it “for their country” which caused Eren to kill a bunch of civilians years later.

When there’s war nobody’s right it’s just a matter of what side your on.

I could see why someone would have mixed feelings though because AOT went from “killing titans” to all this political stuff which is a 180 I don’t think anyone early on would have expected

I mean it's not bad but it's also not the show I got into either. I liked the show better when it was about humans struggling against titans with a sense of hopelessness around it all.

When the season started it seemed like it was gonna be Paradis vs everyone else in the world and that battle still lurks but there are more pressing ones now.

I had the same thoughts with The Promised Neverland which started out as a psychological horror/thriller about them trying to escape the farm to a straight up action series a few arcs later

I still like where AOT went but I will always prefer the Titans aspect over the politics

This last episode of AOT4 was crazy,zeke's past puts shyt in perspective somewhat....but i still dont know where Eren really stands....the show makes u believe he he's leaning one way but he might not. He's never fully vocalized it, he told zeke he agreed butidk

Great Episode, everybody has a different POV, and a different way of trying to obtain peace and to just survive. shyt is depressing, specially if they go through with zeke's plan

Still shyt has to have a Part 2 ,the show cant possibly conclude n two more episodes

P.s now i know why the person who had the beast titan prior to zeke said he was useless in battle
