I honestly dont get it

They single handedly making cgi/3d acceptable in anime right now


And how can we forget they fukking blessed us with those God of Highschool fights too MAPPA goated themselves in one year without anyone really coming in at a close 2nd place


I still think about buddy on the roof with the drumline going the fukk in with his bucket hat swaggin all over the place

jjk is cool. I don’t see people criticizing it really. Few were doing so about GOHS either unless you were comparing the manga/anime adaptation.

aot s4 is criticism because it’s an obvious animation downgrade from the prior studio. particularly with the 3D maneuvering, some are just better at ignoring that than others

Idk i watched s4 right after 3 and didnt have an issue with it, seemed more like a preference change than a downgrade which i can see people swapping those two words around, it wouldn't even make sense that AoT final season would be the one they skimp on

It does when this season was rushed to time it with the manga ending. reason studios had to change

there are some things you can argue MAPPA is doing comparatively better. I like the designs a little better for one. But the ODM scenes are night and day, which for a lot of people is a definitive part of the AOT visual.

so when someone criticizes the animation as being a downgrade, they may be thinking of scenes like this from S3

which aren’t found in S4.

And the arc/characters they chose to skip over was literally the best part of the entire fukking story; Goldy Pond has all the best action, characters, villains, and writing of the whole damn series Only reason I watched any of this show was cause I was waiting for stuff like Lewis and the Hunters fights to finally be animated... and now they just never gonna do any of that????The manga went to absolute crap afterwards too; the final arc is a tedious snoozefest and the ending is Gantz-tier contrived bullshyt. Skipped over the only interesting/sympathetic characters in the series that aren't annoying ass brats to bring back the twerp who's disappearance is supposed to be a season/arc driving narrative point after like 2 episodes

This why I don't keep up with 99% of this shyt anymore, #readgang always and forever will be undefeated when anime studios and producers continue to pull stunts like this.

That was a beautifully designed fight.... and again I love the tone of the music that gives it that vibrancy that makes it even more intense.

Like when it’s done well it’s not noticeable but when it’s done badly it to me takes away from the scenes or the moments

i wanted to say all of this but i dropped Promise Neverland once i saw the end game come to find out the anime just took a swan dive off a cliff too? holy shyt the creator musta just be tired of this story

in season 4 we've barely gotten ODM scenes tho, AND they were at night when most of the focus was on Eren fighting the other titans, Levi put on a fake fight and all mikasa did was support Eren briefly so where are the comparison really coming from so early? plot/action wise that shyt is not the focus right now so they aren't goin to be "found in s4" yet. sounds like people just wanted more action from the scouts and haven't gotten it yet


idk it feels like people jumping the gun to nitpick i been seeing it from both the anime and the manga side of things with AoT once people realized it was about to end
