Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

man, that CGI was trash.
But MAN this ep was great!
Kumoko (Spidergirl)'s voice actress needs a damn emmy for how she's carrying this show. When I was talking about my love for the manga, I said the BIGGEST hurdle the anime was going to have is the fact that you're gonna be focused SOLELY on one character's thoughts for whole eps, and how newcomers may balk at this.
NO ISSUES AT ALL.

They gave it 3/4's an ep EARLY. outside of that CGI... NO ISSUES AT ALL
As a fan I'm satisfied as hell.
I remember making a facebook post a while back celebrating something minor.
cats was like "hey breh, what are you doing!?" even though they know I'm not the most sane or lucid person at any given time.
I was like "A WIN IS A WIN."
But the BEST wins aren't the easy ones. It's the ones that you LOSE.

Sure, if we're stripping MCs down to those levels.
Luffy wants to be the Pirate King because it's a childhood dream.
Naruto wants to be Hokage because he wants to be acknowledged.
Ichigo wants to be a Soul Reaper to protect others.
I can make any MC purpose sound bland and simplistic to fit the agenda.

mentioning that shallow trash isnt a positive point, please dont insult a series like JJK with such comparisons.Hokage and PK are titles that both stories go out of the way to show you the gravity of those ambitions as well as how/why the MC's are personally invested.
Yuji just wanted some friends at the end of the day, and that got warped by his grandpa being on some Uncle Ben shyt.
It really isnt any deeper than that. Thankfully JJK doesnt lean on that thematically and they're are a lot more better motivated/written characters.
