shyt was so weird and confusing it almost blew my high.
most shounen protags have a goal from the start. Luffy pirate king, Naruto Hokage, Gon finding his father, Goku strongest warrior etc. Yusuke is searching for that goal and he needs people like Genkai to push him along the way.
Always liked that about his character. Watch him grow from a directionless kid to a man with purpose. Opposite to the MC's who know exactly what their purpose is at 15 years old, never really struggle with any self doubt or human insecurities.

SAO: alicization is arguably the best arc in the series. But it does start off slow and does have some
moments
It’s the type of plot twist that usually comes at the end of a show but they just casually drop it here like it’s nothing.
They knew we would lose interest just trying to keep up with all that weird shyt, so they drop it off early hoping its enough intrigue to keep us watching.
They aint slick.
