Been watching trigun since it was in top 20s and i was putting it off. The best episode so far was episode 5 & 6 (the one where hes been hunted by the townspeople to fix the plant and then they work on fixing it). The show went from being a quirky western to Casshern sins-like when that was happening which I loved. I'm on episode 9 now and Trigun seems to be slowing down already if I'm being reality

Vash, Meryl, and Melissa are all really likeable main characters though. They have a lot of charm to them. They carry this show like Lebron in the first 3 quarters
One prediction I have so far is that Vash the Stampede is not a human. Hes some sort of cyborg or android and they are building up to this being a reveal later.

rewatching champloo. one of the anime I thought would be top 20 if I saw it again

I used to dislike Fuu for being an annoying brat and useless in every way. Got kidnapped every episode and didn't contribute to any meaningful battles. but she's tough for a 15 year old poor orphan girl living in the edo period. At least tries to defend herself when captured, even if not strong enough to break free without help, and figures out ways for them to earn money.

She is also the the glue the holds everyone together. Jin and Mugen don't have a direction until they travel with her. Then her goals become theirs.

if Mugen is fire, Jin is water, makes sense for Fuu to be the earth for their crew (or wind, meaning of her name) and together they form champloo.

It's one of those anime I give to non-anime watchers/action junkies as a gateway drug into the world of anime

(the other being Black Lagoon, which didn't make my list cause @TheGodling was right, and season 1 is kinda trash. We don't need "set-up Seasons")

In the Baki-verse a fight doesn't stop until you die or admit defeat

Dude thought he could fight to kill and not risk his own life at the same time...he wanted it one way but it was the other way
