I don't know. I had high hopes, but

I could listen to ol girl break shyt down all day.

but you got a chick who's plugged into the ghost world, she's the goddess of wisdom. She has actual disabilities, which is cool.

you got a dude who's immortal, he regenerates from any damage, plus every time he almost dies he sees every possible future and can choose from them

you got a antagonist with the same abilities.

they talk.

and talkk

and talllllkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Yes, I was disappointed.

:mjcry: yes i hope it gets a season 2

Yeah bruh they waaaay to much time on that last case, they had 12 episodes coulf have handled like 5 of them

one of the best. tons of diversity in the music and the live performances are all high energy.

said it before, best thing Netflix anime ever did is throw money at Watanabe to create something. He never misses.

I was talking with my boys about this earlier and I think Watanabe has the best track record as a director in anime. Not only are his shows always quality, the soundtracks are always really good.

Up there with the best for sure. He is always trying to blend cultures together so that his work doesn't feel definitively japanese. So you have Champloo with hip hop, Cowboy Bebop & Kids on the Slope with Jazz, Space Dandy with Funk, Macross Plus with Technopop and Carole & Tuesday with everything. You get characters talking native Japanese and English no matter the translation, dubs are always high quality, and faces of varying skin tones and features.

At least in terms of diversity he is the GOAT.

You’re joking, but season 1 is seriously doable. :manny:SAO isn’t too different than the Star Wars movies they’ve put out recently. No crazy punch-a-nikka-to-the-moon special effects in that whole series. But I regress

Plunderer is actually not bad. :leon:

Dropped it around ep4, picked it up to fill the season gap. So far at ep 10 and
im suprised the show isnt a fantasy. They got helicopters and sht.
Got a breh wondering if its an isekai in disgiuse.

My only real complaint is the small cast, and limited location work. Fight scenes are actually 1st class:ehh:

finally getting around to watching Urusei Yatsura. Can see how it became a trendsetter for anime rom coms and why Lum appears on virtually every list for most iconic characters. This is probably the origin of the "alien girl falls in love with dense MC" trope that has been copied ever since. For the most part poorly as they can't copy Rumiko's knack for comedic timing or character designs.

Just like her other stuff it has a ridiculous set up that can never run out of material. You either grow to hate the repetition or tolerate it because the characters are likable and the dumb situations they find themselves in are hilarious. So far I'm laughing every episode.

I'm a fan of opening themes that show the characters responding to the music in some way, like a dance or fighting motions in rhythm. Kind of an oddly specific thing, but this show has that and the MC's moves get me everytime

Probably won't top Maison Ikkoku for me (still can't believe Rumiko wrote about a grieving widow with all the other silly shyt in her catalog). But right there with Ranma, better than Inuyasha seems likely.

Takahashi is one of my GOATs. Ranma 1/2 remains one of my fave series of all time.
