Kaiji doesn't have a single female character appear anywhere within 2 seasons and isn't seen as suspect. Same with Akagi. They are also both crime thrillers too.
Those anime didn't title themselves "banana fish"though. I think that's the bigger telltale sign than anything else
That's true and Kaiji was goat status. Only female I can recall was that one dude's daughter being mentioned in season 2.
The spin off with the boss dude from season 1 did eventually have a few female characters on it, but yeah agree on your point.

Zenigata cornered Lupin twice when no one else could do so. There were times I thought he was the best character in the show. Would watch the rest of it just to see what ideas he comes up with to counter a criminal mastermind with plot armor.

As long as they maintain the quality of the manga, I don't mind it at all.
Same. I think we've been really spoiled lately with the dark, edgy isekai. This is exactly how isekai used to run in the 2000s, had a very chill pace like that new one, Hachi-nan tte. Y'all remember the "familiar of zero" . Had the same light ,lets make friends-not-war vibe

Making progress on Hunter x Hunter. On episode 82 or somewhere around there.
It takes time to get going but I really like the flow of this anime. I also enjoy seeing the progress they all make to get stronger.
I really enjoyed the Greed Island arc.

I watched this recently. Lupin was one of the GOAT shows on Adult Swim, it really caught my eye when I was a kid
Lupin part 1 is more Japan focused and swaggy, more focused on the thievery and lifestyle of Lupin, he was like a criminal James Bond.
Lupin part 2 is more fukkery and travelling across the world.
Anything past that is
the show is best when it didn't take itself too seriously

Man can't believe my man Keiji Fujiwara passed away I grew hearing voice on HXH and World Trigger which are both my favourite manga. It's gonna be eerie hearing him on WT season 2 and final fantasy
