It started off good but but I was struggling towards the end. I didn't even finish the OVA.

The problems with the anime is the pacing. Everything feels rush so you don't get a chance to appreciate the story. You don't get to understand how much ol girl means to Bam, and why is he chasing after her to the depth of hell. I don't know which studio is behind it but they botching it up.

Telecom Animation Film, TMS's subsidiary. They've been handling the most recent Lupe series.

I don't know what yall nikkas are talking about though, ToG looks good to me. Gives me a smooth 90s anime feel. Maybe I need to see the original Manwha to get what yall mean.

I know. I started that shyt and got bored and cut it off. Did the same with the Mob Psycho 100 II OVA.

No argument there @ the bolded. The sad part is it doesn't look too bad in 2D but when they switch to CG character models: good lord this shyt is hideous. I don't know what the fukk Pierrot was thinking. The only only thing just as, if not uglier in recent memory was Hi-Score Girl and I liked that show too.

Takahashi is one of my GOATs. Ranma 1/2 remains one of my fave series of all time.

If I had to make a top five creators list, she'd be there for sure. Even though I have a love/hate relationship with her works.

She is more or less the reason I watch rom coms today. No one else is more inventive within the medium. Some of the best character designs come from her. Does get annoying with the lack of progression, but twice has she delivered a thorough conclusion in Maison Ikkoku (imo, her best and only story grounded in realism) and eventually Inuyasha.

But she is also the reason that most romances are shyt, as they try to copy her ideas without being funny or having good designs. So if you're a fan of what she does its hard to find a good imitator despite almost everyone trying to imitate her.

So I went backed and picked up black clover after dropping it around episode 40. It took awhile but it looks like its found its leg around the witch queen arc

They made it seem like every gangster/mafia dude in NY was gay or some on weirdo shyt. Seemed like every other villain wanted to smash the main character. shyt was crazy. Felt like the backdrop could have been Hollywood instead of some mafia/military/politics shyt.

The show is good but literally every is either gay or does/says something that is suspect. I think it’s good writing in a sense that they’ve made it all extremely seedy/uncomfortable and tried to glamourise the lifestyle but bruh

Kaiji doesn't have a single female character appear anywhere within 2 seasons and isn't seen as suspect. Same with Akagi. They are also both crime thrillers too.
Those anime didn't title themselves "banana fish" though. I think that's the bigger telltale sign than anything else
