The way Smile jumped over the stands to make that shot.
The way the veterans went into the hallway to chat because they knew the game didn't matter as much as the two being able to play it.
The way this show developed each character through every game played, even when they weren't the ones playing.
The fact that I realized years ago that Masaaki Yuasa is a god among anime directors, and he still manages to surprise me with piff like this.
This show is why I watch anime.
