Starting binging Dororo...I feel worse for the civilians than Hyakkimaru. being senseless is an actual advantage in one of the most violent periods of japanese history. It's predictable how he'll respond to being able to feel what almost everyone else has had to deal with their entire lives
Seems cruel to say he isn't that convincing of a tragic figure but the more I look at him the more I see a guy that has more perks than everyone he comes across. He even has prosthetic limbs that act as sword sheaths, somehow don't restrict his movement and can grip objects as if he's using automail in the 17th century. Would be more interesting if he did have a personality but no means to express it, and the more human parts he recovers the more he realizes that expression in a period of mass cruelty is futile. Him being a blank slate makes his long journey to recover parts while being followed by a spunky kid with plot armor pretty dull to follow.
I stopped watching it around the moth episode was too paint by numbers for me and I was more interested in dororo and the side characters than I was hykimaru
Don't really have specific genre look into atm, just trying to get out this rut breh, I know we share a lot of similar opinions on animewhat are you into normally?
Have you seen Kids on a Slope and Sangatsu no Lion? I'm pretty sure you'd like both given what we've agreed on in the past. Both are among my favorites, the latter I would consider the best anime to come out in recent years.
Kare Kano/His or Her Circumstances is the best romance ever made that no one really talks about. Hideaki Anno of NGE directed it and you can tell the difference from everything else of the genre. Nodame Cantabile is better known, just as good. Main characters are college aged, not indecisive kids. Both have actual skill in their craft and they push one another to reach their potential. Great chemistry, progresses quickly, pretty much everything you want. School Rumble is the best parody of the genre and has a huge cast of memorable characters. Very funny, Harima Kenji is one of the GOAT male leads of the genre.
I think Carole & Tuesday is the best anime of the season. Absolutely nails the theme of music bringing people from unique backgrounds together and giving them a voice to express themselves in ways that they aren't allowed to otherwise. Somewhat inspired by Nana, but with much less adult drama and much more racial diversity putting black people in some positions of power in the music industry and a visual part of the universe. Watanabe (Bebop, Champloo, Space Dandy, Terror in Resonance etc) is directing it and anything he produces is guaranteed to be well put together. Has a lot of really great scenes that anyone should be able to appreciate, even if they don't necessarily care to watch the show because of it's genre.
and I always recommend Barakamon to anyone who asks for suggestions. Hard to not like it. Funny, relatable, will make you feel for the characters in their struggles to find a sense of belonging/family.
what are you into normally?
Attack on Titan is the only anime that has kept me interested from the jump. Pure crack
I need other animes of similar quality brohams.
Dont say that bro im not ready for the endNah man. I appreciate the weekly episodes over a series being released at once.
JoJo Part 5 officially aired in October and it's still airing in June.
And over these past 8 months you get
-the characters resonate with you on another level.
-whenever you listen to jodeci you will forever think about part 5
- weekly discussions
- you get to sit around and digest everything within an episode and it leaves you wondering what could possibly happen next
-it becomes one of those small things in life that make you look forward to shyt like: "today is friday, that means new jojo"
-every week there is a new jojo meme
I'm be sad once that last episode of Jojo hits. Not gonna lie, might shed a few tears ... Like sure part 6 will most likely be animated but it's like damn I been with the part 5 cast for so long now I'm a be like Will Smith in the fresh prince of bel-air when hes just standing there in the empty house.
It's how I felt for part 3 and 4.
The weekly adventure
Dont say that bro im not ready for the end
Part 3 I was glad it ended, it was a drag mostly before egypt
Part 4 ending I was very satisfied with. Wasnt much attached to the cast tho
This time tho...i dont wanna imagine my weekends without the gang. Even in spite of the dropped bodies...mista and buccerati should be dead fr anyway
I wish they could just duex ex machina the the whole crew back and just have them on more adventures. Even p*ssy ass fugo.
We gotta get the boss out of here first tho
You right tho...that will smith feeling is coming
Remember the good times
I remember watchinwatching that shyt and asking my shawtyFor all the jojos I have seen
The boss is my favorite villain in the jojo world besides dio.
I remember when he debuted a few weeks ago.
I was high as hell and this nikka over here picking up frogs and rocks talking to it like it's a phone
My high ass just sitting here like
no it best to think of the boss and doppio as two souls sharing one body the boss soul will only take control over the body when the need to come up or when he feel really confidence that he can kill someone without there being any witness to the crime but for the most part doppio soul is in the diver seat of their share body.So wait...is Dopio really the boss?
I assumed he was a gang member who's stand is to be a vessel for someone else and their stand. So of course he'd be the bosses right hand.
I hope that's it rather than schizo shyt. Seems more in line with the boss's personality to be able to handle things himself while not really being there
