I'd be watching some anime on a whim and I'd be like "
wait..... I done read this manga til current but don't know the name" (current being shyt had 50 chapters and I never checked for it again)
I realized I would be reading based on the most popular shyt over the last year or so.
The brehs overseas would get wind that something is getting animated WAAAY before we do. The views on the manga would spike.
The manga feed sites would aggregate.
and we'd be reading shyt we never heard of and unintentionally being spoiled anime wise cause of some "popular" manga that we didn't know the name of, and will prolly never read again.

But as somebody who loves music enough to sit and watch The Making of Classic Albums, this was the bee's knees.
Only way this couldve been more perfect for me is if Hikaru Uteda and Ayumi Hamasaki did the song duets.
