I saw the screens on Random Curiosity and it looked like he smashed. Dude was straight up beta. She was leading him around telling him what to do and made a man outta him but she was definitely wifey material. He better wife her up after he gave up everything for her.

apparently it was made by the dude that made the animation segments in Kill Bill and was animation director for the goat Samurai Champloo

I'm not sure if Nanbaka would be better as just a gag anime or just a action anime.
The fact that it's both throws me off because it forces you to care about characters at a really weird pace like why should I care about the Chinese characters in the last arc of the anime? I really don't give two shyts about their history but this is just a reminder why I prefer manga.
