Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Thee art looks very suspect, what am I getting into here?

lol there are some -esque parts and usually if a show has that shyt in it, I'm like can't do it . But its really innocent and not even remotely sexual. The basic premise of the plot is that the girl is going into the abyss to meet her mom with the boy robot/relic she found. She's going way ahead of schedule though; she's not ready skill wise/physically/mentally/etc and is too young but she smart . On top of that, the abyss is obviously not easy to descend down into because as the cave raiders go down they get hit with all sorts of ailments on top the monsters/creatures being really strong. But its that element of the creatures/monsters and the abyss being much greater than the protagonist yet they still find a way to wiggle through it all which make it entertaining. Another thing is this shyt feels like some ole Disney stuff at times but then it flips and gets really bloody.. ep 10 :mjohno:

That show "Made in Abyss" is legit, it has a Hunter X Hunter feel to it but its own thing more so.

I need to go back and finish Ippo. This show kept me on the edge of my seat! and of course Attack On Titan

Best thing about EoE is you can watch it however many times and still be as hyped as the first. That Asuka fight is timeless

I thought it was a slightly better ending, it was along the same lines of Ep 26 of Shinji not really getting over depression but valuing his life and the ppl around him, I thought the ending of ep 26 made it seem like he was complete over it, the movie eh kinda still isn't sure just he knew he wanted what he had in the past back. For the end scene, I thought the Asuka came back and that they were the first/only ppl on the planet. She was actually alive and I wonder what happens to Misao as they said anyone who wants to come back can come back to that world, guess there will soon be others back. Its interesting ending but as you guys have said the creator always wanted a open ended ending

@Consumed on hajime no ippo once the last anime season came off I went straight to manga skipped a lot of shyt cuz saw how many damn chapters anime left off bout brother and him past
I came in manga right at his world championship match for think to fight champ been staying current with it since then

Funny thing about it, I think Coach and Takamura both know Ippo might kill dude, or seriously hurt him.

But they both want to see how Ippo deals with almost ending somebody career.

Just a hypothesis, though.

I'm watching Princess Principal.

Gonna catch up to Trezure Children and Classroom of the Elite later.

I always give a show a hiatus after swimsuit episodes. Keep that shyt away from me.


Also running a bit behind on Kakegurui. But I know what I'm missing. I have this problem with all anime that came from my favorite Manga. Except Ippo. It's cool to see it animated, but it's far cooler for me to see everyone's reactions to the stories.

The pull for me is how well it handles adult relationships. Haven't seen a romance with more humanistic characters that carry as many weaknesses as they do strengths

This is actually the reason why I read/watch josei/shoujo-ai.

It tends to be more....... emotionally true.

Tends to go deeper into relationships with better written characters than the indecisive nice guy led romances that don't go anywhere. It's interesting how in shoujo the males are almost always confident and strong while otherwise they tend to be average, dense and shy.
