The problem with where to start is there are too many options. I would suggest starting with anything non-Universal Century as you can easily follow the story right away. I started with G Gundam as a kid but have yet to re-watch it as an adult. It's probably the most different Gundam series from the rest as it doesn't focus on a war but instead a Martial Arts tournament with Gundams. I'll always highly recommend Gundam 00 as a top 5 anime period for me but some on the Coli didn't care for it. Generally most people seem to only like one of 00 or IBO and it makes sense as they are opposites in how they handle story telling, action and characters/back stories. I didn't like IBO but I only watched season 1. That's about all the insight I can provide as I haven't seen the rest. Gundam fans generally hate SEED Destiny but each series has its own fans and haters.

SEED has been cheeks for me. Struggling to get through it. 00 and G Gundam are absolute crack. IBO can drag, but it has very good storytelling with the political machinations going on and the character development.

From what you guys have been saying in here I get the impression that season 1 of IBO was mostly just setting up the events of season 2. I'll give season 2 a chance when the dub drops in April.

I won't be getting to SEED for awhile though.

I was waiting for all the episodes to release before starting Origin but fukk its taking ages. Guess I'll start Origin and then skip to Unicorn, then wait for the final Origin eps.
