I can agree with some points, but this Obama in blackface stuff is just over sensationalizing his point. No Obama isn't the "black people's president" but no American president will ever be THE president for only 14% of it's citizens, it's just not realistic. Yes the political system in America is fukked, the wealth gap, poverty, etc are huge problems. But you can't blame Obama for problems/culture that has been in the making for 100 years, nor can you expect him to fix the problems single-handedly

These cheap insults make you look even worse than West by comparison. At least he was marching in the Civil Rights Movement, getting arrested for activism, and writing about and for Black people. You didn't grow up in the hood either, but had a nice, middle-class upbringing, and still haven't done anything for Black people, and on top of that you lie about things like reparations to try and seem more in touch with Black America than you really are.

Cocaine/crack disparity was reduced from 15:1 to 3:1, but it only applies to NEW cases going forward, therefore the hundreds of thousands of blacks in jail for nonviolent drug offenses is still high. Obama has been an abject failure for the black community and I think even Obama realizes this. Blacks have the HIGHEST unemployment, poverty levels, and dysfunction than they've ever had yet black people still for the man in droves. Obama continually shuns black organizations and black functions out of fear or appearing or sounding "too" black and yet nikkas still cape for him in droves. Obama literally went to Africa and shyt on black Africans, blaming them for all the ills that affect their nations, and yet nikkas still cape for him in droves. Studies show blacks are no more likely to use or sell illegal drugs (which is the number one reason we end up in prison. less than 10% of inmates are violent offenders) than whites. However, blacks are targeted and we end up outnumbering whites in prison. That isn't odd to some of yall?

I've read 1 out 3 black men nationally can expect to serve time. With them being labeled as felons, not only does the stigma of being a felon come, but they are literally locked out the economy. I'm not surprised they go right back in prison.

i know about that and like i said i support reforming the system, my point is that you are trying to gloss over the fact that people in jail are guilty of the crime they are charged with and they are people that contribute to the destruction of black neighborhoods, so its not as simple as just freeing people, that wouldnt solve it

but also you said only 10% are in jail for violent crime, when the fact is that violent crime also heavily contributes to the large number of black inmates and that these crimes both drug crimes and violent crimes occur in black neighborhoods and against black people

I don't think anyone is saying the President is responsible for that downturn in black unemployment. But the same ones who dikkride the President for lowering unemployment numbers suddenly blame black folks for the increase of black unemployment during that period.

It's as if we can only give him credit when something is in his favor and absolve him of responsibility when it isn't, even when it comes to us.

It's pretty annoying.
