Were the Road Warriors the only tag team to ever be the most over act on the ticket?

I remember back in the days in my household we used to watch NWA and wait for the Road Warriors to come out to Iron Man and beat the shyt out of people the whole time. They used to get the loudest crowd reactions. Ever went to a couple of events as a kid and the Scope went nuts when they came out.

I can’t think of this being the case with a tag team in any other promotion. I’m not counting 2 solo stars as a tag team like The Rock N Sock Connection.

i think the Freebirds or the Von Erichs might've been the most over in their territories, but as far as WCW and WWF/E yeah it's probably just the Road Warriors.

These are the only other teams that came to mind. WWF/E treats tag teams like shyt so they never get that over. WCW had good tag teams but never main evented with them.

They were over, but definitely not the most over act at any point.
Yes they were in the 80’s NWA. They got louder cheers than any other face consistently.

At one point, they tried to turn them heel against the 2 most over babyface single wrestlers in the promotion, Sting and Dusty and the crowd still didn’t boo them so they abandoned it right away and turned them face again.

Doubt it.Tag Team rasslin used to be huge in the south and northeast before territories died. I saw some Crockett doc where Cornette said Mid Atlantic only did tag team main events until the 70s.
