Sorry but after the 2018 and 2019 Playoffs when Nick went 4-2, I felt he earned the position. I had to be fair. I was hoping for the best with Carson but he did not win the Super Bowl. When the Eagles let Nick go they were saying Carson was going to take us further than Nick did and that wasn't the case. I don't care if he was younger. Nick won, Nick was the starter. Again it's water under the bridge now but they ended up trading Carson so I'm even more upset now because I was right then. Ironically we actually would have gotten more picks if we traded him in 2019 and kept Nick. Instead we are now rebuilding and have to eat 30 million and Carson still didn't win us a Playoff Game after Nick. I have to be fair, Nick won the job and contract. Now we will forever have to live with letting our Super Bowl Winning Coach and MVP go. People love to talk about Carson "Almost" Winning the MVP, Well Nick WON the Super Bowl MVP. That's OK, this Statue will always be a reminder.

I agree. 2018 when Nick Foles turned the season around and took us to the playoffs and beat the Bears, I was getting that 2017 playoffs vibe again.

I wasn’t necessarily mad that he chose Wentz over Foles, but there were forewarnings. As much “arm talent” as Wentz has, I don’t trust cacs that only grew up around other cacs (North Dakota and NDSU), plus all that God stuff, and I didn’t think he can vibe with the locker room and be strong mentally enough to overcome the Nick Foles Super Bowl performance.

nikkas say the eagles failed Wentz, but I don’t subscribe to that. We literally babied him and consistently reassured him, when his backup earned and deserved the highest praise. He’s the one that won the tough games in the playoffs. You can say home court advantage, but he still went out and won the big and important games. He won the Super Bowl MVP and then took the bench the following year when Wentz came back and didn’t complain.

He then took over that season AGAIN for Wentz after he stunk it up (y’all can claim 21-7, but he fukking sucked) and had a mysterious fracture back, even tho we didn’t put him on the IR :comeon:, got us back in the playoffs and beat the bears, and was competitive with the Saints.
We STILL release Foles after 2 successful postseason, to make Wentz feel better and give Foles a chance to be a starter else where.

2019 was his year, we got rid of the Super Bowl hero, gave him a BIG ASS CONTRACT, gave him the keys.
Y’all can bring up the 27-7 ratio but again, he was average at best, and had big accuracy issues especially in the beginning of the season. We make the playoffs and first quarter he gets injured.
But now we don’t have a competent backup bc we gotta baby Wentz and don’t want his ego to be hurt if he have even a decent backup that can challenge him the slightest.

Fast forward, Howie said fukk that, there’s a decent QB in the 2nd round, we need some reassurance at that position. (Or would y’all rather have Josh McCown or Clayton Thorson as a backup:mjlol:)

Everytime we rely on Wentz, something goes wrong. In the pass we had Foles to back us up, but the one year we went all in on Wentz he gave us a good 3 yards on 1/4 throwing in the playoffs.

No good GM seeing that track record is gonna bet it all on Wentz. Even the Colts still have Brissett just in case. We failed him? No he failed us.

They can try to lie all they want Wentz was trash.

When I watch the super bowl replay I see 2 men .

The honorable Nick Foles come to the side line and ask Doug Pederson. It wasn't no fukkin Frank Reich. It was Nick Foles and Doug Pederson " You want Philly Philly" :whew:
The two men in one of the most historic NFL films clip are gone..

If you tired of hearing about our Superbowl MVP fukk you too . that's our guy who revenged us being cheated by the patriots the first time.beat the dog shyt outta the patriots . brought us our first Ring fukk off if u tired of him. its Nick Foles for life if you ask me .fukk Jax STL CHI there's a statue in Philly with our real QB .

I know it burns slow but we will never love Wentz like that . he ain't built for Philly ,go win a tittle with the Colts I don't give a fukk , get you a statue GTFO.

Philly
Anybody oppose to Kyle Pitts at 6???? or should the Eagles grab a wideout??? If Alabama kid gone we gotta draft Pitts

He's from Philly. I see there being too many distractions here if he's drafted at 6. Plus he's an Aaron Hernandez type of TE. I think you have to go 2 TE offense again if he was the pick and I think it's time to move forward from that.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to draft a TE in the 3rd round, I just wouldn't take one at #6 overall.

Fields or Parsons

I'm glad he gave us this moment last season
:wow:

Reminded me of the old days
:mjcry:

His release from the team needed to be done but im still going to miss DJax. He's going down as an Eagles legend when it's all said and done. I hope he retires in Philly. One of the best deep threats of all time and one of my favorite players ever
