I agree. 2018 when Nick Foles turned the season around and took us to the playoffs and beat the Bears, I was getting that 2017 playoffs vibe again.Sorry but after the 2018 and 2019 Playoffs when Nick went 4-2, I felt he earned the position. I had to be fair. I was hoping for the best with Carson but he did not win the Super Bowl. When the Eagles let Nick go they were saying Carson was going to take us further than Nick did and that wasn't the case. I don't care if he was younger. Nick won, Nick was the starter. Again it's water under the bridge now but they ended up trading Carson so I'm even more upset now because I was right then. Ironically we actually would have gotten more picks if we traded him in 2019 and kept Nick. Instead we are now rebuilding and have to eat 30 million and Carson still didn't win us a Playoff Game after Nick. I have to be fair, Nick won the job and contract. Now we will forever have to live with letting our Super Bowl Winning Coach and MVP go. People love to talk about Carson "Almost" Winning the MVP, Well Nick WON the Super Bowl MVP. That's OK, this Statue will always be a reminder.
I wasn’t necessarily mad that he chose Wentz over Foles, but there were forewarnings. As much “arm talent” as Wentz has, I don’t trust cacs that only grew up around other cacs (North Dakota and NDSU), plus all that God stuff, and I didn’t think he can vibe with the locker room and be strong mentally enough to overcome the Nick Foles Super Bowl performance.
