Trade Jrue to Brooklyn? Draft Okoro or Nesmith? Focus on getting Vet Bigs in the offseason?

Brooklyn is in the Tax and we have no idea how the salary cap gonna get hit. Brooklyn was reported to get another vet star with Irving. Jrue makes the most sense.

Jrue Holiday

For
Caris Levert(X)
Jarrett Allen(X)
Spenser Dinwiddie(Salary to make ut work)

Have plenty of room to Max Ingram and get a free agent vet bigs like Serge, Millsaps, or Kelly Olynyk.

May have to dump Ball, tho.

Spenser/ NAW/Ball(?)
Levert/ Reddikk
Ingram/(Draft Issac Okoro or Aaron Nesmith)
Zion/ Serge or Millsaps/ Melli
Allen/ Kelly Olynyk/Hayes

Not perfect. May need a year to grow. A much more balanced team to say the least. Just needs a good coach.

Jrue isn’t enough to move the needle for them and not worth giving up Levert for. Now, Allen and Dinwiddie might be enough to get it done.

Also that lineup has too many guys who need the ball, need to get a Danny Green type of guy at 2 spot who plays D and Shoots 3.
We need a couple of 3 and D guys and you are right a Danny Green type guy would be perfect.

We need a stretch 5 and some bench scoring too. Having a guy that can come in and create his own offense off the pine that you don't have to design a lot of sets for is underrated too.

That's why there will always be teams willing to find a for the Lou Will and Jamal Crawford type players of the world.

My #1 choice for new head coach is still Jerry Stackhouse, who I thought would be an impossibility at this point after Vanderbilt snatched him up... but in an uncertain post-Corona landscape, maybe there's still a chance for at least getting him in the door for an interview? :jbhmm:

After that my next favorites would be Darvin Ham, Kenny Atkinson, and Jacque Vaughn in no particular order. I think all of those guys would be at least a solid hit for us; Atkinson and Vaughn to a much lesser extent are "proven" commodities while Ham and his potential is talked about really highly from people in NBA circles. After that I'd consider people like Chris Finch, Tyron Lue, and Becky Hammon as VERY high risk choices that I'd be willing to put faith in if Griff and the FO thoroughly vetted and truly considered them worthy of being the do-or-die choice to usher in the Zion era in earnest.

My only 100% no-no for future head coach is Mark "Hop around on an injured ankle and pray to the power of Christ to be healed" Jackson. The staggering amount of dummies who don't know the absolute nonsense he was on in GS and keep suggesting him for every head coaching gig... :snoop: A Jason Kidd hire would also fill me with dread, but at least he has a "development of a young high potential project into superstar Giannis" on his resume. But I think it's (hopefully) just his agent forcefully inserting his name into all these vacancies though; I'd say there's a near 0% chance a team with a female owner is going to hire someone with his history of domestic abuse. Maybe if he was some Pop-esque super winning coach you could convince her and the "family first" organization to overlook it, but that obviously ain't the case with Kidd.

I'm liking Vaughn a lot and his philosophy to playing into a player's strength. I would like to get Kenny on as an assistant coach before a head coach. Lets see what's his demand is going to be. I could see Chicago fighting for him.

The way great coaches are found in the NBA. It always an unknown that just comes out of nowhere instead of the hyped prospects. You rarely see a coach overcome their flaws.
