My advice is be extremely careful with buying brand new.
The one downside of the third world is some of the janky ass builds
The new builds in the first world aren't all that either tbh.
lol theres still a gap.
You live in Africa and I tell people think of Living in Africa like living in the ghetto in a hood McDonalds where they have Ham but no Burger.
So even when I had to fix my suicide shower head I had the buildings super do it for me and deducted it from the rent.
That way if the super overcharged me the owner would holla at him because he would get less rent.
Again you’re doing the right save and stack invest the savings.
Do you live in a totally wealthy area or an area where there’s middle class people near you.
I lived near a middle class neighborhood it wasn’t bad low crime and plenty of places to shop.
Living in a totally high end place is cool but it makes you car dependent and you pay more for everything in the few stores that exist out there.
Poor workmanship is still poor workmanship regardless of where it is in the world. Nothing is built/made to last anymore its built/made to be replaced.
Will look into thisThat’s another thing little kids be chilling and I asked how these kids be out here unsupervised and I was told people don’t fukk with kids and if they did they’d be super violated so for the most part kids are kids and not social media addled brats like in the states.
I don’t got to tell you but if you bought bonds or even put a couple stacks in Equity Bank account the interest rates on that money is crazy you could get as much as 12% apr on that money.
Again you’re putting much needed hard currency in their banks they will pay you well for it.
structurally there are still differences from a USA build vs the Chinese “luxury” constructions you see all over East Africa
They are sufficient and I am in 1 right now but lets not get it twisted
as a vehicle of investment there is a huge difference also with more inbuilt property ownership rights in the West
It’s been quoted that Brother Amos Wilson said he believes Black Americans suffer myopia — we are often unable to see all of the opportunities that exist in America and thinking going to Africa will fix everythingBingo. Don't forget the Syrians and Lebanese. We're not going to even speak about black people who call themselves everything but Africans. Also, they don't want to assimilate back into the general culture. They'll do it for any other country outside of the continent but they won't do it there. If this was a thread about going to South America, Europe or southeast Asia there would be a lot more posts in agreement.
I could just not be in the right environments but I don’t hear about brothers with that type of ambition… “let’s build X industry. This country has X resources. We can make connections with X politicians for this deal”I've visited Ghana and it was great. I don't know if I'll ever live abroad, but owning property is probably in the cards.
I also know, that until we get a single "first world" majority black country our reputation world wide will remain poor.
Nice home. Are foreigners allowed to actually purchase land? Non lease
