Yeah the job market sucks here
Thankfully I work remote

But literally I make more in a day than someone working here on average makes in a month

We have a cleaner guy who comes about 3 days a week and he mops the whole house and sweeps and does dishes Nd laundry.

We pay him 20,000 each time he comes it's like 7 dollar

A live in housekeeper is making like 200k a month
There’s subtile differences in swahili in different countries. In Tanzania they call live in Maids Dora Wakazie which sounds like Dora Milajie from Black Panther.

Yes, have heard it said this is one of the biggest, think about that, factors holding africa back and it is largely overlooked. What seems simple, property rights, is anything but in many parts of Africa.

Owning property and land is on the 1st scale of investments and if that is shaky, it affects everything after.
It does but the thinking is they don’t want to kick people off their land.

Quatar wanted to buy hundreds of thousands of acres to feed Quataris instead of just buying Kenyan Produce. Kenya almost accepted.

In theory that would be the right thing to do but the optics is terrible.
The Economist has a piece out now called The Africa Gap talking about what holds Africa back and they said a huge problem was unproductive farms that drive people to the city to hustle.

If African farmers invested in the right seeds and irrigation they’d be straight but they don’t have the money can’t get loans don’t officially own the land and the roads are bad so people can’t really make money and they sell their produce for a song for whoever shows up with a truck to buy their shyt.

There’s a Kenyan company called Twiga ( Giraffe) that’s attracting foriegn investment simply because they have trucks to buy all that cheap food and can get it to market.

Yup
There are alot of Indians and Chinese even mzungus over here that invest and own I rarely come across any African Americans over here

Most mzungus are German or French
man I was talking about this for a minute.

Oshay duke Jackson was talking about this heavy in his Kenganda series.

he recently stepped back from that and went back to roasting Pop Culture and supporting Trump. Even though he’s successful I get the idea that he’s sour on Uganda and I see half the time he’s in Nairobi not Kampala.

I would like to hear why, I’d even settle for why he moved to Kampala in the first place.

There’s a fair amount of ADOS in Nai but they don’t hang out.

The problem is they get wifed up and go native the American Brehettes are the worst they encouraged brehs to wife up the first African chick and not date around and that’s the wrong thing to do in Africa.

It’s like I said in about Medellin the traffic is so janky that if Black expats don’t live in close proximity they don’t ever link up.

Another problem is that ADOS thinks that they are like Africans so the idea that ADOS should come together and build an enclave doesn’t sit well with them so they link only with Africans in their personal bubbles.

The one thing FBA’s are right about is Africans do delinate they see you as different and if Black Americans brought a Mall and or a condo community they’d likely put up roadblocks.

Frankly we’d be seen in the same light as Nigerians building in Africa they’d be suspcious of scamming.

Let’s be reality, ain’t nobody trying to live in about 95% of them countries in Africa. Ain’t enough jobs, stability, infrastructure etc. plus if they ain’t being exploited by another country, they got tribal politics/beef holding them down. I don’t see any better quality of life moving to Africa over staying here :dead:

Wouldn’t mind visiting Africa one day. I’m FBA and will stay here forever. Love from across the Atlantic :salute:
Yes living in Africa full time ain’t for everybody ( hell it ain’t even for me) but no reason why you shouldn’t visit if you take international vacations.

I’m not even advocating brehs travel internationally America is so diverse that you could snowboard and go to the beach in the same country at the same time, Hell you could do that without leaving the state in California.

You’re right makes no sense if you’re really poor like working class or really rich as the benefits of living in the states outweigh the challenges of Living in Africa.

I broke down the types of people that would make good expats

But really you become an expat way before you get a passport. I remember when I was 9 years old having the awesome idea of opening an American restaurant in Italy assuming if Italian food was popular over here then maybe american food would be popular over there as if nobody ever thought of it before.

meanwhile there’s a good Rib joint right in Westlands Mall

How about citizens? Are they allowed? I know you have your wife but could a breh potentially marry a citizen which would allow them to own outright or nah?
This is more a question for Mikel but maybe an Ugandan can own the land outright but if you’re red pilled enough to leave the west you might be too red pilled to trust your wife with owning the place that you rest at.

Stability is fine in Uganda same president for more than 30 years

Jobs are an issue

No tribal beef in Uganda , Uganda accepts the most refugees out of any other African country

Ethiopians, Rwandese, Congolese, sudenese, Eritrean no issue.

If you touched down in Africa and loved for awhile you would have a different viewpoint.

My parents were the same then they came for my wedding and they loved it and are now looking for a property to buy

Yeah citizens can outright
My wife has a house she owns outright that her dad gave her

He bought the land and built like 30 years ago it's hers forever

Probably because they can’t afford a studio in scarlem.

Canadian real estate is the devil.

But yes everything has tradeoffs You have a President for Life but there’s no disruptions other than Bobi Wine thinking just because he has the most votes that he will win.

In “democratic” Kenya they have regular selections and people win them but there’s always riots and disruptions.

I don’t care who the Thief in Chief is I need to get to Art Cafe to get my Cuppa and my slice of Apple crumb cake al a mode.

Sabina Joy strip club is open 24 hours a day everyday except during selections.

Club Bubbles in Kampala is popping during selection time in Uganda.

nikka I’m an expat and I agree with you.

Nobody talks about this enough the culture piece.

nikkas be surprised that their Crappy Chapiadora in Sanitago cheats on them with a broke Brehito.

It’s because you can’t dance Bachata. Batchata uses the same instuments as Go Go Music ( with string guitars) but it’s totally different. I can deal with some Bachata but I’d rather listen to Backyard.

Shorty feels the same way about her culture.
