I honestly don't care to go after him anymore because Sanders has filled the void and honestly, even though we joke about random number WRs, Brees is at the point of his career that having elite talent at multiple spots at WR won't do us as much good now as it would have a few years ago.

My gripe is more how the past few years every NFC team up for SB contention has made the one move over us to get over the hump. The Eagles got Ajayi, the Rams got Dante Fowler, the 49ers got Sanders, and now the Seahawks may get Brown. Who was our big "get" to get us over the hump? Eli Apple in 2018? lol.

I actually credit Payton that he isn't afraid to scour the trade market, but it always seems like our biggest competition ends up with the pendulum shifting move and we don't.
