All signs are pointing towards Steve Spagnuolo being the Giants defensive coordinator next season.

Spagnuolo can now talk about the vacancy (provided the Ravens grant permission) after Baltimore lost a heartbreaker on Saturday night to the Patriots in an AFC Divisional playoff game. It's expected that the Ravens assistant head coach/secondary coach is interested in returning to the Giants, according to multiple league sources with ties to the coach.

The individuals requested anonymity because as of Saturday night a formal request for an interview had not been made by the Giants. A request is expected in the coming day.

Everything seems to indicate that Spagnuolo is the Giants' target. Four league sources put Spagnuolo as the favorite for the job. All seemed to think it was a strong fit.

I was gonna throw OOOG LeBeau in the mix but im down wit Spags:ehh:
LeBeau and Coughlin would be the oldest HC/DC tandem ever :dead:

McAdoo gone be chilling with the players.

Schwartz crazy ass as our DC is intriguing. I am OK with Pep as our DC. Similar situation as Spags in 2007.

20. New York Giants (28th)

Pass Blocking Ranking: 13th, Run Blocking Ranking: 30th, Penalties Ranking: 19th

Stud: A much better year from Will Beatty (+13.0) even if there were some games where he didn’t really show up.

Dud: When you see an athlete the size of John Jerry you think to yourself he can make things happen in the run game. Unfortunately, as it has been through most of his career, that just didn’t happen.

Breakdown: The injury problems of Geoff Schwartz was a big blow for this line and as a unit they struggled for consistency. Imports Jerry and J.D. Walton both struggled, while Weston Richburg looked every bit the rookie. Still, the improved play at tackle and the blooding of some youngsters and new players see this as a step forward.
