I might pull my hair out if I see Swoopes one more time. Ride and die with Heard/Locksley for the rest of the year. I think Strong is loyal to Swoopes b/c he puts in the work behind the scenes. He just freezes up when the lights come on.

As a coach you gotta be flexible though. Everyone that watches games can see it in Swoopes eyes. I feel bad for him for him sometimes. Just tell him if you want to play football at the next level now is the time to switch positions.

I still feel like if Texas had Kyler Murray they'd be straight. Sure they dont have the playmakers, but I saw A&M's oline look like garbage and he still couldnt be touched.

Problem is Watson may have never got demoted so he might have never reached his full potential. Charlie has to stop being loyal to a fault. You dont tell the greatest High School QB in recent memory you're switching to an uptempo spread offense...but using it with a conservative/non creative OC. If he demoted him in January....he's a longhorn right now.

But moving forward get Heard and Locksley the work. I wouldnt be opposed to getting Locksley a series each half. Get his feet ready in case Heard gets injured. Cause if Heard is the QB...he's getting the Pat White treatment..

I don't be on Twitter as much as I used to be, so I don't know how bad the national media are negatively overreacting to it. But most fans on various Texas messageboards are positive about the coaching change.

But vince helped him win his only title:mindblown:
Basically saved his job while at it. A couple years before that, he was pressure to change both his coordinators but only Bull Reese mugging the LOS system was ran out of Austin. Greg stayed. Two years later, Mack said that they simply stopped coaching VY and let VY be VY. Texas had extremely strong leadership that year.

From what I've seen the national media is acting like this was a panic move. Herby said it was a panic move and questioned why they promoted a guy who got fired at Oklahoma.

Personally I think Norvell will do better than Watson. I don't see how this isn't a good move. The downside is this should have been done in the offseason.

Coaches, players, recruits, and parents all love Charlie. Urban and Lou Holtz described him as hard working and loyal etc etc. My concerns from the beginning was that Charlie is too loyal/conservative to make changes hence keeping Watson, but I didn't expect him to demote him this fast.

Traylor and Norvell have the offense in their hands now. 247 is reporting that Watson never listened to him according to their sources. Hopefully Traylor and Norvell is like the spread to run version of Doug Meachum and Sonny Cumbie. Where one brings the creativity and the other playcalls as a cohesive unit. Problem is Watson bytch ass is still around.

Seriously I always knew Watson wasn't shyt (don't ever watch old Nebraska games, that shyt is hard to process) but I never thought he be this bad.

Im in it for the long haul, dunno when I'll be able to tune into a halftime show or gameday without them ragging on Texas during hard times. When Texas is down people have that :shaq: in their faces.

We gon make it :mjcry:
