Wow why would he do such a dumb ass thing. I said after VY won in 2006 that mack could get any great black QB that was coming out of high school anywhere in the nation. Because young kids especially young black kids loved VY and on top of that UT won the whole thing.
Mack really fukked up and destroyed everything after that win. Some of the dumbest shyt I have ever seen in all of sports.

-Strong won't come out and say it, but he couldn't put Heard back in the game with that kind of OLine. Can't crush a young QB's confidence early.

They were. But you can tell the recruiting changed after they won the national championship. I can't find the quote but it was a thread on hornfans about 8 years ago but not many really thought twice about it then. Soon after, the recruiting for the next year was basically wrapped up by April every year.
mack never wanted VY. tim brewster kept recruiting him behind his back and eventually mack came around to him. if it wasn't for tim brewster he wouldn't have been a longhorn.

idk. i guess b/c he has to wait his turn coming straight from high school. i think traylor has the potential to be the OC going forward. Meanwhile we'll be replacing Norvell again in December. disappointing....
