300 murders a year
Dont care what these social media scholars are talking about or If it's the 5G towers making people sick or if you think your "melanin" is saving you (asians have melanin too)

Protect yourself!! Not saying you have to walk in garbage bags and spray yourself down in lysol but keep your hands clean, cover them coughs and sneezes , avoid shaking hands , you know the same thing big mama been telling us.

Want to know our secret? Mama and grandma been telling us since we was kids to wash our hands after bathroom and before eating and cover them germs when you sneeze and cough. There you go, mystery solved.

No, it was because Europeans were protected by European laws and became prohibitively expensive. Native Americans knew their own land better and just ran home or to neighboring tribes. Africans had none of those advantages and could be exploited at will.

Although make sense, I’ve never heard this explanation before. I was taught the other, the natives not being able to withstand the trauma the way Africans were able. And that Africans had skill in farming in a way that Natives didn’t.

Africans being resistant to diseases was ONE of many reasons for African slavery. Everybody who learned about slavery knows this. You must be cac-ish

Certain African tribes were good at rice farming, carpentry, etc. They were ordered based on skill level as well. Resistance to bugs was also a reason. It's out there on Google also

The vast majority of Native Americans WERE farmers, especially along the East coast. They hunted to supplement their diet. Hell, they created corn from grass.

Euro indentured servants were protected by the laws of the Nation they were from. Even the criminals.

Africans weren't part of any Euro nation and could be exploited at will. Funny thing is they were treated just like Euro indentured servants until the 18th Century.....when the 'White Race' was created.

I forgot, diet also plays a factor

Climate
Youth
Diet
Stronger immune system
Preparation

All these together are factors

No, I am familiar with the history. There's a tribe I've interacted with through work, the Powhattan, that laid-out their history and other tribes' nearby before colonization.

You sound naive.

Lol thats not true. White people brought STD's like syphilis and gonorrhoea to Africa during colonialism.

Those diseases aren't pleasant, but they usually aren't fatal. The point I'm making is that Africans had the upperhand in resisting diseases, and had built up an immunity to most of white men's more deadly diseases that Native Americans succumbed to. Meanwhile white men could barely survive Africa's environment.

"The coast was called "the White man's grave" due to the mass amount of death from illnesses such as yellow fever, malaria, heat exhaustion, and many gastro-entero sicknesses. In 1841, 80% of British sailors on expeditions up the Niger river were infected with fevers.[6] Between 1844 and 1854, 20 of the 74 French missionaries in Senegal died from local illnesses and 19 more died shortly after arriving back to France."

Flu season is around the corner… - NICD
As in other temperate Southern and Northern Hemisphere countries, South Africa experiences seasonal influenza epidemics every winter. Although the timing of the influenza season varies from year to year, influenza virus circulation occurs mainly during the winter months of May to August, but may start as early as April or as late as July. The average duration of the influenza season over the past 13 years has been 19 weeks.

Let's see what's poppin between April and May. It seems South Africa's flu season starts then.

In the meantime, :blessed:
