Whites hate Hispanics just as much as they hate blacks, the only difference is that cac men generally find latinas more attractive than black women so they may get a pass for that.

all racial and ethnic terms are dumb at the end of the day cause race is a social construction

i'm not gonna deny to myself that I am a Latino though. But I also know I'm more than likely black mixed with some European and Taino ancestry. My mom's side of the fame is mostly dark skinned including myself, and some of my cousins even look a bit indigenous.

That's why I found it stupid when other Latinos are like "man, why does the Ferguson shyt bother you, so much if you ain't black?"

Like these racist CACs even care about the difference. :comeon:I hate talking with Latinos that aint do the knowledge on Latin American histroy.

Great post. When we look at the bones of people that lived hundreds of years ago, we have no idea what their skin tone was because we're the ones (modern day people) who created this "race" shyt to begin with. When we read scriptures or whatever, they make no mention of how dark or fair skinned a group of people are, because it has such little if any importance at all.

We have all these sub classifications we want to put people in....all these little boxes or whatever. But its all cultural. There is very little scientific reasoning for it.

As far as the term hispanic...a hispanic person is, in short, any person from a spanish speaking country in the western hemisphere. I dont see why that would be considered offensive.

That's pretty much where many are coming from. I've seen videos where some people in Mexico keep saying, "I'm a Latino" and another Mexican interviewing them says, "Latino is a culture, not a race. What is your race?" The people are dumbfounded until the interviewer says, "How about saying you're Native American?" Then the interviewed people are left speechless. Some have never even considered the idea that they are Native Americans, despite the fact that they are. Some people have been brainwashed into thinking all Native Americans were wiped out, so it's completely impossible to identify as such (in this type of programmed mind).

Same way Black Americans never considered that a huge number of them are black Native Americans who's ancestors were here before slavery :sas2:

The ones on the top are mixed

I could have sworn "Latino" solely meant the Latin speakers of Latin America and not Latin speakers in general...
Yes...I would say that "Latino" means someone with heritage in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
A lot of these Black people think by getting Latinos/Hispanics to reject and drop referring to themselves as Latinos and/or Hispanics that it would draw these people closer to the Black race.
We Latinos dont need to really do that though...as long as you appear non-white bogited CACs will give you hell for it. There's no need to lose our Latino identity to understand racism and prejudice or systematic issues on the basis of race in America. At least that's how I think it should be and is SOMETIMES.

However, people have to realize is that there are dozens of countries in Latin America and they do not all think the same in terms of race or class.

this brings up a good point, i was speaking from a west-of-the-atlantic perspective, completely discounting that some posters are european. my post was one-dimensional in that regard

Actually I find it quite interesting here to see how labels can be different/understood differently on both sides of the Atlantic

So Haiti couldve had Spanish as the official language and not Haitian Creole or French if the cards were played different years ago? :ohhh:

Spain > France
The Spanish were just as oppressive as the French. Killing natives and forcing them into slavery. But they were dying as slaves because of new world pathogens so you know who they got to become the new resistant slaves? West Africans. That's why those countries have so much African admixture.

In Dominican Republic you will find plenty that have features of these people. I doubt you will find any of them that look exactly that due to the mixture, but there is a presence of similarities.

So early Haitians have to have some native blood in them. There has to be at least 35% of the population now that is mixed blood. No?
Anicent Egyptians liked to mix their blood with African blood to strengthen the future blood line.
You have to assume that France or Spain did the same thing and interbred their slaves.

Ancient Egyptians were African. They got mixed and diluted with their conquerors.

I dont agree. Too many people confuse Ancient Nubia with Ancient Egypt.
Ancient Egypt was not the same blood as Africa. It was mixed from the get and never 100% :yeshrug:
Yes, Egypt is IN Africa, but it's blood wasnt 100% of anything at any time.
