If Jay is their favorite they have to look and see the shyt Jay bit from Pac I.E (Me and my Girlfriend, His flow on (On The Run) if Nas is their favorite they have to acknowledge the shyt Nas bit from Pac which is too much to name. If B.I.G is their favorite it has to hurt for them to see how Pac had him in the fetal position in 96. I get why NYC nikkas like Combat have a bias against Pac I really do. It has to hurt when they see how much influence he had on their favorite rappers.

:russ:This isn't true at all.

Act like Jay didn't quote Big 100 times more than Pac.

Act like Nas isn't more influenced by Rakim and G Rap.

Act like Big ain't influence the entire rap game, Pac included while he was alive.

"I'm from where nikkas pull your card, and argue all day about
Who's the best MC's, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Nas"
Biggie, Jay Z, Nas... not Tupac.

He was never in that echelon at that time in NYC. After he died a lot of ass kissing started happening.

If we had a post the best Nas verse thread you'd get 50 to 100 different verses. What would that thread look like for Pac :sas1:?

Pac was the biggest rapper on the planet when he died. No disrespect but I'm not sure if you was old enough to remember those days. Name a rapper that was bigger than Pac in 96.....don't worry I'll wait.

This is true. When he got out of jail, it was covered EVERYWHERE. Everybody wanted to know what he was gonna do now that he was out. AEOM carried the wave. If i recall,
The source had it going at 5x platinum in 2 months. You also gotta remember, this was the first double disc hip hop album ever. People was hyped as shyt.

The California love video dropped at the end of 95, AEOM in Feb 96, Hit em up was in the summer and he dropped videos all the way through September. Plus 7DT was gonna drop until he died.

The next biggest artists in 96 were Bone. Otherwise, Pac was on top.

Honestly, a lot of people are just in love with the idea of 2Pac.

Lemme explain... nikkas love Pac for shyt that has nothing to do with rap. Y'all respect him for being a rebel who bucked authority and pulled no punches, while making quality music at the same time (while refusing to acknowledge that he lost his life over bullshyt). And while he was great in his own right, since he died he has become a combination of Malcolm X, Jesus, and the greatest MC in the world all at once... and really, he was neither of the three when he was alive.

It's not always about 'East Coast bias' or being mad cause he dissed another rapper, hip-hop was a lil' different than some of y'all remember it to be at that time. You were still free to listen to whatever/whomever you wanted. It was OK if you didn't like gangsta shyt, or didn't like underground shyt, or didn't like party shyt... and so as a result, there's some artists that might have flown under your radar. If that wasn't your bag, it wasn't your bag... there's people I knew that were kinda "aiiight" about Pac but loved Dre & Snoop's shyt... or liked Hieroglyphics... or were more into Cube... matter fact, I recall Combat Jack noting several times how hard he fukked with Cube's shyt back in the day... I know it's hard to believe, but Pac wasn't an exception to the rule or a holy grail that you were obligated to be a huge fan of back then. That only happened after he passed.

Shut up nikka, this is just more clown shyt trying to discredit pac's greatness. I told nikkas (prior to thuglife) that pac would take over if he got some better production. Cause i never heard anyone like him. You and other fukk nikkas always wanna discredit pac because of WHAT ELSE he had. True he had a larger than life persona. But thuglife,MATW,AEOM and 7dt were back to back to back classic records that went along with his persona.

See how nikkas get irrational...

So I'm a fukk nikka cause I don't look up to Pac like you misguided at-risk youths did and never got over even after becoming adults? Negative. I respect Pac and his work greatly. I'll be the first to vouch that he wasn't MEANT to be some technical lyrical miracle type rap guy, as his strengths are more in the content and feeling behind the things he said which makes him a great rapper... that being said, it IS ok to not like his shyt, just like people got the right to like or not like any other rapper's shyt. The fact that nikkas like you can't handle that concept is proof that y'all love Pac for shyt that has nothing to do with rap. And that's fine, he's your personal Jesus, not mine.

Nah...I can't give you those, breh.

Pac spit so much game about a scandalous female on "skandalouz" it's ridiculous.

Heaven Ain't Hard To Find, the same.

If anything, i'd say both songs are underrated

I won't even give him what's ya phone number, never mind when we ride

You just wrong and making excuses. Yes it's fine if you dont like him. Ok,cool. But when you start coming with bullshyt theories that are definitely inaccurate,i'm gon step up PERIOD. If you're telling me i'm only a big pac fan cause of the controversy, and i know it didnt happen like that for me then i'm gonna let you know. The reason I ride so hard is because pac earned his props the hard way and he's been dead for 18 years and his name's still ringing as the marker in this game. He didn't have Bias magazines prematurely crowning him or his work to help him fool the public. He didn't have to tell you he was the best and try to coerce you into believing it. He didnt have friends that went on to be very rich and powerful to throw his name up there and praise him. In fact it was the opposite. When he created a dope album in MATW

,media nikkas didnt want to give full credit. When he dropped AEOM media nikkas was still hating. Same deal with 7dt. Every successful record he dropped, despite how many classic songs they possessed and how they performed amongst the people, were criticized and judged with harsher standards by east coast bias hating ass nikkas. This thread is a testament to how nikkas were treating pac. Because you have a old east coast nikka,so bitter at pac's greatness, that 9 years after he was dead he writes a scathing article in an attempt to downplay all that 2pac did in his short 25 years of life only to come back years later and say "i dont feel that way anymore". Translation, (let me relax some of my hating ways). There were nikkas whom actually said he sounded like "shaquille oneal on the mic" in reference to Hail mary. He had nikkas rape and pillage his unreleased catalog for songs and concepts prior to his label commercially releasing them. The biggest name he was associated with ran over to be with the nikkas who did it,rather than ride for him about it. His underlings whom loved him the most were powerless because the nikkas they were dissing, took over the game when he died. Despite all this, the people have elected him the GOAT. Also the very nikkas he dissed have redid songs, got on albums talking bout "this mus t be how the boy pac felt when he made MATW and AEOM" (jay). "2pac was deeper when he first came out than i am now" (nas). You got magazines re-rating albums. All them nikkas have to kiss ring and keep trying to figure why pac had it like that. Blaming the media is a cop out, they attacked more than anything. Yes he reached levels of superhero status through the tall tales about him,but i cant let nikkas pretend he didnt put it down musically from thuglife on out. It's bullshyt. There are other dead nikkas and other controversial nikkas, none of them are leaving or have left a legacy like pac's cause musically they cant match him. I can't let nikkas downplay pac because he earned his props the hard way. And I know he strategically did everything he did,he didnt get lucky. So if anybody wants to discredit,i'm on the front line. If anybody wants to say you were only "obligated to be a fan after he died" I'm getting at these ignorant nikkas cause they're wrong. I remember nikkas stepping to me "you bumping that thuglife"as i stood at the bustop with my walkman cranked up. I remember the whole classroom having a conversation about MATW when it came out and bytches quoting "
Got me runnin from these coward-ass crooked-ass cops
Helicopters tryin to hover over nikkaz til we drop" and how much they like that part. I remember a group of white boys walking through the amusement park i worked at in 95',with shaved heads,2pac styled bandannas and shirts that said "thug4life" on them. None of these rappers that died brought forth the reaction that 2pac's death brought on a world level. None, why cause none meant as much when they were alive.
