We all agree Earl Sweatshirt is the best young lyricist in Hip Hop right now, right?

Let's be reality all of these kids who were associated with Odd Future turned out to be really good artists in their own rights. We made of them for being these weird, skateboarding outcasts, but they have all made waves on their own at this point. I think we forget when they first came out, most of these kids were between 15-18. Now that they have matured we now see how good they really were as artists, they were just raw.

As for Earl, he has grown the most as a rapper, I have seen in maybe 15 years. He went from basically cloning late 90's Em to finding his own voice and he is definitely part of this new wave of under 25 rappers who are essentially the leaders of the new school. In his age range, I think he is only behind Vince Staples and Joey Badass and even then I'm only talking about a small margin. I do think Earl is by far the best writer of the three and his flows are technically on par, even if he still needs to liven his delivery to match the lyrics at times.
completely disagree earl been a better spitter than joey and vince even when he was younger. i dont see the em comparison outside of rapping about crazy shyt see the song off his first mixtape i posted. also

and

he was 15 and 16 spitting like he was a vet or something

This kid is vicious with the pen. I don't think any rapper around his age is seeing him

You circus nikkas, you turning into tricks
I was making waves, you was surfing in 'em
Dealing with the stomach pains just from birthing nikkas' shyt

Cut the grass off the surface
Pray the lawnmower blade catch the back of a serpent, nikkas' shyt

His career is over because he had the chance to go pop yet (through no fault of his own, might I add) didn't?

:heh::camby:
Because his album was wack and he lost most his underground and popular audience

i'll take vince staples. he gets a lot of hate because he's got a big fukking mouth. but holy fukk that kid can rap his ass off. and it's crazy how all the sarcasm, the wit, and the dark humor he shows in interviews comes across just as clearly in his pen game.
Vince staples & earl sweatshirt da$h have a nice track,mac miller included
