We all agree Earl Sweatshirt is the best young lyricist in Hip Hop right now, right?

Yeah, Earl one of the best spitters of this generation period. His subject matter and the darkness to his music just isn't for everyone. He doesn't make gangsta rap/trap rap and he doesn't do turn up music, so you really gotta seek his shyt. IDLS, IDGO is in my personal top 5 albums of 2015. Dude had BARRRRRRRS for days on that joint.. I'd have to pull up and rewind just to catch certain shyt he said. He's one of the few artists of this generation who would hold their own lyrically with heavyweights of the 90s. He is a very gifted writer.

Yea hes good, too bad he is rapping over fukked up obscure beats.

Its like he dont want us to listen to him rap.

If you want to be monotone and rap over minimalistic beats there are ways of doing that without having it sound like the beat is having a seizure.

I prefer Milo.

A 23 year old that have the same monotone flow, doing melancholic music over minimalistic (not as "grimy") beats.

Also a great lyricist but is more philosophical and his style is closer to the art rap scene (Probably why he's not widely know on Coli).

But If you are a fan of Earl you should give Milos latest album a chance. Its dope!

Been an Earl fan since 2010 and I agree. His music is just too depressing to ever get that recognition he deserves imo.

And not that Drake or Childish Gambino "waah you broke up with me, I'm still in love, gonna watch cartoons now" shyt, but fukking absolute despair, getting drunk near train tracks level depression.
