Are you on crack? There isn't a movie that has been made in the history of filmmaking that needed to make a billion to break even. That makes zero business sense.
Pirates of Carribean 3 rumored to cost 380 mil for filming add in the avg 150 mil for P&A it needed to get to 1 bil to barely make a profit.
Depending on the budget for BvS you believe they might have needed 1 bil to break even because they were talking 400+ mil budget
Why ‘Batman v. Superman’ could be one of the biggest blockbuster bombs of all time

Nightwing is a good choice for a movie. Whether it ever happens is another story. :pachaha:

WW and JL really need to knock it out of the park.

If you spend 400 mil when you add in P&A you are gonna need 1 bil to break even.
You don't know what you are talking about.

New Line was a studio operating under WB, how it came to do so doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that it does, so posting all that to try to claim TW needs to approve it makes not sense, because it isn't neccesary nor have you actually presented why you think it would be neccessary.

The real funny part is that WB has released that they were supposedly making DC Films a real studio, instead of just a name, 'Batman v. Superman' Fallout: Warner Bros. Shakes Up Executive Roles (Exclusive) . This news seems to point that its still a studio and structure in name only.

First you say rumors (:mjlol:) say that they needed 1B to break even then you come up with a random 400M number?

raw

:mindblown: you have to be trolling, the point is that NL was merged with WB by WB/NL's owner, not created by them. WB doesn't have the green light to create other studios. Don't you think they would've made one for their animation by now if that was the case? WB gives them a division, that's why there's a Warner Bros. Animation Group. Also do you realize that Disney bought Marvel & Lucas Arts? They weren't already at Disney then they gave them a studio.

This is why reading is important brehs

The Burbank-based studio is making changes to the way it handles its DC Entertainment-centered films, giving oversight of the feature projects to a pair of executives and creating a dedicated division for the films.

Do you know the difference between a studio and a division breh?

Go ahead and respond breh, i'm in a good mood today and i ain't done killing ya yet

That it merged is irrelevant, its a studio that operates under WB because its owned by WB. Just like Marvel, Pixar, and Lucas are seperate studios under Disney
You think by typing out things I literally said before that some how you are making a point, you aren't.

Seems like you are trying to make argument that a studio needs to be independent when the fact is it doesn't, it is used as I used it on industry blogs, just like Miramax was a studio that operated under Disney

You're an idiot breh :snoop:

Disney = Time Warner

Marvel, Pixar, Lucas Art etc. = WB and New Line

Disney bought Marvel, Pixar, Lucas Art, Summit etc.
Time Warner, WB and New Line all merged together

Point is that Time Warner has never bought or created a studio because they don't need to and WB can't make studios unless Time Warner says so.

Just stop it breh

This was about 40 years ago they decided he'd stop being robin in the books. Then we got Jason Todd. Then Tim who's still a robin and now Damian who's also a robin.
Got you, I know dikk was nightwing in the comics, but I was never big on batman comics outside of knightfall.

Actually you are incorrect.
Marvel studios falls like this
Disney Company (Bob Iger) -> Disney Studios (Alan Horn) -> Marvel Films (Kevin Feige)

So you aren't even arguing reality
Time Warner -> WB -> DC Films is what I"m saying should be done and DC Films be a full studio, not just a name.
Since Warner Bros, itself though said outright they were creating a DC films studio under their WB structure specifically for their films, everything you are saying literally makes no sense.
You literally are arguing against reality and what WB itself has said it was doing and that I posted.

On top of that you don't even know the structure of Disney companies and its okay, its a little confusing, but atleast be tight on what you know before you come at someone else.

Where does WB say that they're creating a studio? They never said that, you're just making up shyt breh. I even checked that link and it says "Division" not studio. Can't argue against something that was never said

It's ok though, you can keep crying about DC/WB all you want :manny: they're not going away anytime soon.

As much as I'd love this I feel it's asking a lot of the casual fan/moviegoer to know/care of dikk's journey from sidekick to adulthood but :yeshrug: we still got GOTG and antman doing numbers.

They really need to lay some groundwork. Still no confirmation of who's costume that is even though we assume Jason's.

Again I post the same link for you, try to read.
'Batman v. Superman' Fallout: Warner Bros. Shakes Up Executive Roles (Exclusive)
Now again you can say division all you want, its sematics you have to play now, because you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I haven't complained about DC/WB and I haven't wished they would go away.
I quite literally said I hope they get their shyt together, get a real structure to their DC Films unit instead of letting WB execs green light or approve scripts and etc, all that should come specifically from only DC Films execs so they can have control over product quality, tone, and a unified and executed vision.
