It's hard for me to acknowledge this argument when earlier in the thread we had a discussion after the Texans defeated the Chiefs, and Watson benefitted from his defense performing better on that day, yet you chose to use it
against Mahomes not having this "magic", sense of not being able to come from behind (which was deaded after his SB performance), and what you said was "not accepting any pity parties for Mahomes".
You can't just suddenly change the script now that Watson doesn't have the conditions in his favour, when you've already made it known you didn't care for Mahomes when he didn't.
Regardless, of the hypothetical you want to overlay here, the fact of that matter is, Mahomes has proven himself to be
that guy, and aside from flashes here and there, Watson hasn't.
What's there to get?
Mahomes just had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. Perhaps, Watson might etch his name in history as Mahomes has done, but there's literally nothing as of now to hold onto to believe that Watson will be greater.
